Jacky is giving me LIFE with this performance. She is so strong and really bringing out the colors in the harmonies. She needs more respect because people need to realize it is the foundation(low notes) that allow the higher notes to intersect at all angles creating harmonious masterpieces. Higher notes are typically the melody so they always invert or go into relative keys but they always need the lower notes to be the base so they can bring the song back to home key completing the sound and that exactly is what Jacky is for The Clark Sisters.

Jacky is alto here. Along with Dorinda. Twinkie is on bottom. But yes when Twink is not there Jacky is usually bottom. Sometimes Dorinda depending on the circumstance.

I purchased the DVD when it first came out. There were 4 groups that sang that night: Walter Hawkins and the Hawkins singers, Shirley Caesar and her group, Joe Ligon and the Mighty Clouds of Joy. The Clark Sisters were last and slayed them all. @@doobej9558 the 1974 album was "Mattie Moss-Clark Presents The Clark Sisters" which was the first album that was on. "Best", released shortly after Denise left, was a remixing and remastering of some of their content from their first 2 albums.

@@JayDrewGWP You are right! I'm having two memories at the same time...LOL. It's the 70s version that is on the Best album but it originated on the 74 album. Thanks for clearing that up for me! All I know is Hallelujah is a great song that has endured generations.

Jacky always throws little things into her part that make you take notice. She doesn't get enough credit for her ear. Also that growl she threw in at 2:39 was everything

Karen is the one in the white dress leading she ALWAYS has lead this song😂 if you’re a fan of the clark sister you could tell by her voice! Also at the beginning Karen says is her singing in vain Denise says praying in the other video
