We do use specific test materials to differentialy diagnose ASD with other disorders before initiating any sort of interventions. Very informative video mam. My baby is 3.5 years old. He has speech delay problem only. At the age of 3 years he started communicating with others. . He is able to frame sentences now ( 3.5 years). How to improve his communication mam?? Pls do video on it. He can write all alphabets, numbers perfectly. Counting, sequencing also. Giving response for stories also and can repeat story again. Hello Maninder ji, Maneesha here. I watched ur video n have certain queries regarding that. My younger baby is 2yrs n 5mths old shows following activities- 1. Gives limited eye contact, though not zero. But very little or none to others. 2. He can speak, sing rhymes and sometimes use unusual words with no meaning to us. Says 1-20, sings alphabet song, but has not said mumma-papa etc to us means not using words for communication. 3. He uses gestures like spread his hands, cries when i go to take bath, he has a habit of running out of the house but not without any of the parent. If he wants something he even bring the box to me to give him. 4. He don't walk on toes but he runs n jumps a lot. He becomes very happy on seeing water n hence flutter his hands in excitment. He likes sitting in going to the bathroom may be for water. He enjoys open spaces where he runs n jumps n often clutches his theeth. 5. He feels the objects in his hands, observes the shapes n becomes cranky when things are not according to him....but consoleable. 6. Somtimes he is lost, unsocial, n don't respond to me n lies down on the floor while playing. 7. He communicate non-verbally with his relatives when he need something like giving them box, packets etc from where he want something. Otherwise he won't listen to them. Actually i am still confused whether what my baby is going through. Please let me know ur views regarding this.

My kid is 20 Months old, has following symptoms 1. Don't say a single word like mama papa . nothing 2. Don't respond to his Name but give reponse to his fav musics 3. Give smiles 4. Hold our hands and point to something he needs 5. We often try to make him say papa/Mama he looks at our face/lips ..smiles,.but doesn't try himself to speak. Let me know what to do. My son is 2 year and 8 months old , he has speech delay, he has none of the symptoms of autism which you told but have only 15-20 words in dictionary and he shout alot especially on things which he can not tell us by speaking and also react weird when meet people,in crowd or upon asking any question...

Please listen everyone do not worry about it just follow the specialist and therapy specialist. Children needs ASAP start this watch your children very close and help them from day one. I live in USA have best if the best doctors and therapy but other countries don’t or they don’t understand it. Please help your child to get the best of the best of you from the day one and it’s oaky to be sad but same time you need to be so strong for your child.

He can recognise everything in a nursery book but he responds to any conversation with gesture and pointing. He just started saying some alphabets and some words last week (not very clear) . I just joined him in a speech therapy center today but I m scared of Corona . Kindly suggest.

My son is 23 months old he does eye contact, smile, hugging, pointing, gestures for water, food, tv etc. , have strong emotional connect with mother and lots of babbling. He also does hand flapping when he is exited, don't respond to name. He is not speaking any word.

I am sorry to say this. You people who are said to be speech trainers or autism experts in India almost copy the vedios made in America or any western country. Probably you are taking the same parameters as they take in their country. As far as my observation is concerned autism is a rare symptom in India. May be because of our close family net work, or interaction with many people every single day, due to playing with lot of children, either from neighborhood or their own relatives and neighbour's. Autism in white kids is more possible where parents them selves are victims of many unresolved social problems. According to their own estimate autism in their society is increasing from one in 500 to one in 50. What they stamp as autism is almost found in every child. More over you cannot categorically say what is autism. They themselves cannot. Even a healthy and normal child too focuses on toys more depending upon his innate interest and his hardware in the brain.. Just because he is spinning wheels he can't be diagnosed with autism. Flapping hands, waving hands is general characteristic of a healthy child too. Walking delay , speech delays are not always linked with autism. Speech delays certainly are linked to hereditary characteristics. You can not single out one particular cause. It is true that girl speak earlier than boys. Some traits are acquired due our evolutionary process as humans. Boys will have more motor skills than girls. Girls will have more early q vocabulary than boys. Speaking at least 20 words by 18 months and 30 words by 2 years these are not standard parameters. Sometimes words are stored in their brains, and flow like gush of water once they attain ability to speak. What I request is do not go bindly what western society say. Study cases in the Indian context. Your best advisers will be grand Mas with many grand kids. If you start collecting information you will find amazing facts. I have seen number of vedios on autism and speech delays. Finally they leave you at where you started. Children act differently. Some show distinctive characteristics of brain developmental impairment. Such cases have to be dealt with differently. Not every parent break their heads if their child is not walking, not talking or not rolling, or not pointing , or not interacting with much with you, or not responding to their calling has autism.. Every mother should be intelligent enough to notice any abnormality in their child. Not every educated mother worry about their child just because they have more access to more information.

Mam my child was normal by 18 months he used to say mama baba daada naana then we moved abroad now he has lost his all words plus now he is getting anti social type too wat should do?

Hello mam thanks so much for your video. I am a mother of a 3 yr 5 months boy, he was diagnosed with mild autism at Sir Ganga Ram hospital child development center by Dr. Praveen Suman. His response to name was poor, poor eye contact. But I feel he convey his thoughts by sign and gestures very well and his vocabulary is not very poor as he can only speek almost 50 words. I am confused should I continue with therapist or not because he is not showing any improvement in almost 20 sessions with OT and Special education.

Hello Madam, your videos are really helpful. Thank you so much for letting us know everything. My daughter is 2.8 years old. She is now on OT and ST. She was having 15 words at the age of 2. She was not pointing, not responding to name and poor eye contact. She is diagnosed as having PDD-NOS. She was with nanny and had some beating experiences and has anxiety issues. I have taken sabbatical for last 7 months and is with her now. After 7 months of her diagnosis, she has more than 500 words now with few two to three word sentences. She points now and also has social smile. She responds to her name 70%, even from other room. Her eye contact is also like 60-70% times. She can sit for 45 minutes session and do activities or read books. My point is that if a child learns to do all at a later stage, what should we infer from this. I know that she needs help but just wanted to have your views on this. Waiting for your kind reply a. It will be a great help Madam.

Mam my son is 3.5 year old who has a delayed speech (able to say few meaningful words)and had most signs of autism but I've started his intervention at the age of 1.5yr..and now he improved a lot..like...maintain his eye contact..respond to the name calling..able to communicate through his gesture..can express his needs..understand and follow most of the commands...then what does mean?? Hello madam, My daughter is 7.5 years and she was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder 3 years ago on diagnosis. But she was not showing any symptoms of autism which you mentioned so I think it might be speech delay only. I had her on OT and SI Now she is speaking quite nicely but not as fluently as kids of her age. Even in school she has no problem in understanding but when it comes to explaining she cannot do it properly because of speech delay. Can you please suggest something
