The only inconvenience for the health care system is: Not all hospitals are allowed to treat foreigners, only very limited can open the door for foreigners.

Not only Canadian, but i've met also Russian, Ukrainian, French, Iranian, Pakistan, Italian family who have live in China for more than 5 years while i'm married to Chinese so practically i'm not German family but Eurasian family (😁😁). I mean with a clear conscience who do not want to live in China is a dumb because with its convenience, practical, modern, advanced, rousing, inexpensive, friendly, courteous, etc. What anything else can you hope from all of these kind generous attitude other than only in China because honestly i've live in Europe, N America, Australia and i can tell anyone that nobody can even match China in term of those above things that i've mentioned.

It's glaring how minorities living in the US usually face discrimination and hostility and white people living in China experience warmth and acceptance. Great job China for being kind and accepting of all people and for not having the same mentality that many people in America have towards others that aren't like them. Keep being awesome like you always are, China!

As Chinese I say China's problem is the working life. If you willing to work hard, then you can have a normal life, is definitely not a place for lazy people. In America I can relax more yet earn higher amount, the only downside about America is that I can die any moment from guns or whatever because it's not safe here. Unlike in China I can open my house door 24/7 and yet still no burglar.

The daughters who were born inside China are the lucky ones. They are re-writing the legislature to give rights to those who were born there, even if their parents were not from there. The Chinese recognizes all people are valuable, as we can see the government booked several rescue planes to help evacuate those Chinese who were stuck in Ukraine recently.

Some differences, like what the husband here referred to as structural difference in understanding of independance for kids will always remain. Such cultural mindset differences evolved over millennia in response to environmental threats and oppportunities so they're going to continue to remain a fixture of local cultures. As long as the geographies remain unchanged (and they do! you can't geographically move countries!) these differences will remain. The key is for different parties to seek to understand why others have different customs and to respect those customs (if they're not life and death issues) instead of seeking to change the other to their own ways and beliefs. The world is much richer for its cultural diversities and more harmonious if we accept them.

Thanks for the great video, I am Chinese. There are two things I want to say: 1. In China, people like to take pictures very much, and sometimes they take pictures without the consent of others. Although these people have no malicious intentions because many Chinese have not seen the foreigners and lovely kids. Frankly, this is not a good habit, and in fact, many Chinese people also do not like this habit without their consent of them. The solution is to tell them directly, we don't like being photographed by strangers, most people will understand and stop taking pictures. This is a true cultural difference. If we understand the difference between each other, it will not be a problem. 2. If you live in China, you may make a few Chinese friends. It will be very convenient and helpful too much when you meet some trouble and difficulties.

China's CCTV is like a 2 sided coin. Depends on how you look at it. Tight surveillance the moment you step out of the comfort of your home means less freedom to do anything you wanted but in any country you go there's is always a social limit on what you are allowed to do and as long as you don't break the rules, you should consider another side of the coin, CCTV is there to deter crime people know they are being watched and easily traced and captured and hence will think thrice before committing crime. In fact countries like South Korea also has tight CCTV surveillance, along the street, car dash cam regulatory etc. and why the no one never complain about that.

Great to learnt that they are enjoying their work and stay in China. There is this question that has puzzled me that I get from most foreigners in China. A vast majority of them, particularly from the English speaking countries, come to China with some expectations that the local Chinese should have some level of proficiency in the English language. The inference is often nuanced but very discernible. Is that a fair observation?

I don’t know how old you were when you immigrated to Canada. When your mother brought to there 40 years ago, it happened to be the beginning of this miracle growth in China. However, your mother had lived through hell prior to that and decided to come to Canada to give you the opportunity for a better life. My parents did that for my brothers and sister. We knew their intentions and we didn’t disappoint them. We are not rich but live a comfortable life and we teach our children the value of a good education. Based on your writing skill I can only deduct you didn’t do too well in school and lacking the ability to make advancement in your working life. Don’t put the blame on your mother for her good intentions!

May I add high time China should give citizenship to foreigners who had live there for several years, beside their contributions, like this Canadian couple are doing great jobs educating the Chinese children English which is a language used by billions in the world. It will be great if more and more Chinese can speak English as their second language, beside Mandarin is good for China and world peace. China indeed have some great mystical charms to attract foreigners even including overseas Chinese like myself.

@@fannyalbi9040 , Japan is superexpensive and very cramp. Same with Korea. None of these two countries can match China. The huge country of China plus the variety of landscape and variety of products make it much more unique comparing to Korea or Japan.

what contributions you can give China? why should China give citizenship to you and other foreigners? You are not Chinese in terms of nationality, and we don't welcome people like you when China was poor why don't these foreigners contribute to China?

They should learn Mandarin or the local Chinese dialect. It shouldn't be expected that the local Chinese should learn English in order to communicate with them.

Do their kids speak Chinese? It does not seem like they are integrating or adapting their kids in Chinese culture. Their kids should be bilingual by now after six years. They seem to be living a separate lifestyle from the rest of Chinese society.

you are not Chinese and China is not immigrant country, why do you always push your black perception to Chinese and China? like to think it's challenging to be asked 'where are you from' you are a foreigner in China, which is a basic fact and we have the rights to ask any questions we don't have any historical liabilities like white so that we have to take care of your feeling the most obnoxious thing about foreigners in China is to force your culture / feeling / values to Chinese your problems like racial problems / religious conflicts in your own country is not our problems, and we don't like Abraham religions, and we don't like you to exploit us using your skin color I wish all foreigners in China understand this basic respect leave your values / multibalabala in your country, we don't need that
