Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum and Parfum. Which is the better fragrance?

For those who are undecided which of the BdC to get, the EdT is a louder youth and the parfum is more of a big brother gentleman. And the EdP is the happy middle child.

People say EDP projects better I own both and honestly can’t tell if I get nose blind. Not sure which one to repurchase because I’ll be in duty free soon

@woocash1 I had never really tested it out much. But i had noticed and had heard from different people that you are more likely to get nose blind when the fragrance projection is on the strong side.

EDP is more versatile. I like that it's more fresh. I personally prefer it. Both are amazing. To each their subjective own.

After awhile EDP starts to smell bar soapy and like pink bubblegum which I’m not too fond of. Parfum on the other hand smells more mature and darker and woodier. I prefer it more. Both their starter smell, smells very extremely similar when you first apply it. With EDP smelling a slightly lighter when first applied.

They smell very similar to the untrained nose anyway. Also when notes overlap alot, the second scent gets extinguished to a great degree even with a strong perfume. I did this with Amouage Interlude and Interlude 53. Both are beast mode frags. The 2nd scent gets a lot weaker smelling when you immediately smell after the 1st.

@@ivantrudeau8974 The “blue” aquatic freshness of the EDT is gone, and instead, a deep, darker lavender emanates from the Parfum. It has added sandalwood which makes it more woody.

I have a full bottle of parfum and a sample of EDP. My preference is most of the time parfum, but sometimes depending on my mood, im vibing the EDP.

Hate to use the word "refined", but it has a more refined profile than EDP, for sure. Happy you're in a place where you can have both! Haha if you had to pick an everyday wear, which one would it be?

@@kenIiamThe EdP definitely. It is much more versatile. A no worries kinda grab. The parfum is more 'occasion' kind of scent. To me, the parfum gives me the same 'quiet gentleman' vibes as ADG profumo.

I wore parfum in my relative wedding and a group of girls started giving me eye contact and some were even flirting with me 😂so I approached one of them and she said u smell heavenly,such a good scent is this perfum.

The parfum feels different to me. It's like it has a creamy top that keeps the scent trapped. On the other hand the EDT is like the scent is not strong and clear enough. I chose EDP because the BDC scent is more clearly defined, I liked it more, and it stayed on my hand faintly for days. Yes, I didn't bathe, sue me.

Guys i wear BdC EDT but i feel like it completely dissapears after about two hours. i reapply every 2 hours at work, am i just nose blind and just making myself reak more and more through the day or is this normal?

What does 'blue' actually mean in fragrances ?

At their core, blue fragrances are fresh, aquatic/marine, summer notes. Examples of scents include sea water, mint, lavender, and citrus. Though, it’s also a marketing term in the industry used to push sales/customer retention. Thank you for watching, Seven!

Sure thing, Disanta! In the meantime, since they both share the same blue fragrance DNA, they’re going to smell similar. But comparing the two side by side and a trained nose, EDT will wear more citrusy and for warmer weather. EDP will wear better for colder weather. It’s a more complex fragrance with notes of aldehydes, coriander, and amber. Thank you so much for watching!

The general consensus for a 100mL bottle is 1000 - 1500 sprays. Given Parfum's potency, I personally wouldn't put on more than 3 sprays. It'll for sure last 2 years. Thanks for watching, Mr. Steel!

I feel for you, Mr. Knight. May I recommend you either: 1. Get rid of the social circle that puts you down. There's nothing worse to the male psyche than being conditioned by negative people who influence your character. I invite you to surround yourself with positive, driven individuals who build each other up. 2. Level up. Get in shape, acquire a style that's fitting for a lifestyle and persona you want to acquire, learn to be more confident (not arrogant) and become financially successful. If you do BOTH of these things, I guarantee the last thing you'll worry about is your height. Good luck, my man. Please keep me updated

@@kenIiam being financially successful without looks only gets you fake friends and goldigger prostitute relationships with women and I’m not high iq or smart so it’s over I’ve already tried dressing nice being confident etc women don’t care about men’s lifestyles unless they are catering towards them with it and funding it basically being a trick money and status doesn’t garner genuine attraction and you need to achieve atleast millions to multi millions and celeb status for it to really matter that you looks and height won’t bother her as much still she will never really like you it’s over im just done with life

@@kenIiam positive people don’t exist for everyone your outcome with people is determined by genetics too like being social and liking socializing which I don’t like cause all I know is negative outcomes for trying to connect with people I’d rather stay alone and rot most people aren’t worth it and narcissistic especially younger generation of guys there all toxic to be around especially if your in the decent to goodlooking crowd which is what attracts the women if your hanging out with losers ugly short not rich etc women don’t want to give you time of day anyway your whole social life is determined by your genetics and upbringing

Just got in a sample of BDC EDP and CAHS. Honestly i dont like either one of them. Literally 0 character in them and with AHS.. missoni wave literally does it for 1/4 the price. Can finally put a finger that chanel dna in the missoni wave bottle i had b4 i gifted it away. Now i know what it smells like i def shoulda kept the wave. They are just stupid safe scents. The price shouldnt be that high with this borning personality.

I agree with you, Doc. Unfortunately, designer scents are supposed to be generic/mass appealing. What’s your go-to niche fragrance? You seem like an Amouage 45 kinda guy 😂

@@kenIiam I haven't been after many niche scents because I only buy into them when the huge sales are. My 2 most "niche" ones are green Irish tweed and Layton. Unless you count manceras there's more. Summer i switch between Versace eau fraiche, d&g light blue intense, ADG profondo lights. Most worn are y edp, Layton, d&g LBI. Dylan blue, Prada carbon. There's still a few nice designers for summer I want to buy or try. Missoni wave to CAHS is the best version you like of CDNIM to aventus. I'm still going to sample eau extreme and edition blanche. I hope to at least get one

This would work a lot better if both bottles are real. Unfortunately, they're both fake. You can clearly tell by the sloppy job of the paint on both caps (not to mention one being broken). Get your Chanels from Macy's, Sephora or directly from Chanel. The majority online and most everywhere else is fake. It's the most faked brand out there.
