Yeah, never took ice typed seriously until I fought that fight, and after that I still just chalked it up to smart dual typing with water for resistances against fire.

BW and SM both beat it imo, but you're right, I love how smooth this sounds. Still an awesome theme, very grandiose, just doesn't quite beat the intensity of the other 2.

Phoebe still comfuses me. Normally, the trainer would look like they use a certain type of Pokemon. She has flowers and looks nice. I assumed she uses grass types. Imagine the look on my face when she sent out a ghost type.

The most memorable part of the RSE elite four for me, was that in Emerald you could get Rayquaza right after the 8th gym. At lvl 70. Which made everything after a complete joke lol

@@denotzgii Rayquaza has such amazing stats and is so overleveled he just OHKOs everything in the league lol letting u catch him at lvl 70 before even getting the 8th badge is a huge design flaw

@@aggerktmi disagree. If anything, it allows the player to have a way out if they are struggling with their current team. Early gen pokemon was relatively harder to complete than the later ones (because of lack of access to information or guides). Smarter players looking for a challenge would hold back from using Rayquaza, while newer players can sweep through if they want.

Seriously? Not that I dislike them or anything, but as far as Elite Four's go, they've got nothing on Kanto, Unova and Alola.

Most Elite Fours are very forgettable. Gen 3's was very. Gen 2 probably had the most memorable one just because of how they brought back Koga, Bruno, & Lance. Gen 5 was also pretty memorable, Caitlin coming from battle frontier (so cool to see her coming to her own)

man i still remember sitting on my front porch back in like 2002 beating the elite four and champion in this game for the first time. it was a major hurdle because i was one of those kids who only trained their starter so i ended up challenging them with my Sceptile and then Groudon lol

Ahh, my first Elite Four. I still remember being underlevelled and using Swampert against Shiftry because he knew ice beam and I didn't have anything else that was supereffective on grass, and getting bodied by Dusclops and Walrein

I remember them days, damn. I had a game boy sp and Sapphire version my brothers had ruby and emerald. Didn't had to buy no more batteries and I would have shit load of batteries sitting in the sun thinking it would charge up sometimes it do. Then I had rechargeable ones then finally the SP. 1st time to elite four got my ass beat. 2nd time ass beat. 3rd time more ass whooping till I had to grind all night and fix my party to take them on. Then i was the champion.

How did Steven beat the third elite four member who specialized in ice/water pokemon. Which his pokemon is weak against. An he lost his championship title to wallace the former gym leader. Who specialized in water/poison and one ground pokemon in emerald.
