I'm playing a Harmony H1270 12 string guitar, standard tuning but tuned down a full step.
The lesson is on a 6 string guitar in standard tuning.

NICELY DONE ! i've been addicted to , and have been butchering 12 strings , [ the poor things ] since i first bought PETE seeger's = " learn the 12 string guitar as played by leadbelly " at the age of 15 some 55 years ago ,, i learned blind boy rag from taj's album , thanks much !
