Development and more characterization for Celestia and Luna...well, I can check this episode off my S7 wishlist.🙂 I love this episode, currently my favorite of this season! With Starlight being assigned for a friendship mission, I can be hopeful that the CMC can be called by the map too! I must say that Twilight's inclusion here was very humorous however, I must point out the fact that she was being nosy on Starlight's business...again(a minor flaw but easily overlooked). Now, the dream sequence has pointed out some interesting images, one of them being baby Applejack being held by her supposed parents which made me squeal on the inside.😁 And then there's Daybreaker, the most groundbreaking moment in this whole episode!! My reaction to her was...a mixture of exhilaration and being terrified as well.

I personally watched all the new episodes as they were released in Canada; however, seeing your reactions every weeks makes up for not having a new new episode to watch. ^^

"Celestia" was derived from "Celestial" which came from "Caelum", which while can mean "sky", can also mean "chisel" (to break things). So… Celestia as Day Breaker killed the previous Twilight, causing Day to arrive. Later Sunset appeared and then gave birth Twilight, officially ending Day. From the way I see it, the ancient Twilight seems to be Celestia's unrevealed big sister. And maybe in an ironic manner, Celestia once cried at the side of a wounded ancient Twilight, after Celestia as Day Breaker wounded ancient Twilight. Just like when the current Twilight cried at the side of a wounded Celestia, after Nightmare Moon wounded Celestia.
