Philippine tourism is already cheap af. You could stay in a really sweet house by a beach for less than USD 30 per night. It's weird that he's doing this because 1, the Philippines is still pretty slow on the vaccination front so tourism (international/local) is scuffed. 2, this story of setting up shop for tourism has always made it worse both for the people who live there AND the environment. Boracay was closed off for months to remodel pre-pandemic because it was getting so bad.

Right? The guy they had for the other version was absolutely atrocious, he had such a toxic personality. Edit: Since I'm getting grilled for this, a kind reminder of his interactions: All of the r/ nice guy questions he asked.
