Mel I am totally with you, I hate using the CanOpener and I’m really not good with it at all either.

Any advice for me, I am visually impaired as well and just starting out learning how to use the oven.

The best advice I can give you is that: firstly you learn what the oven looks like without having it turned on, how many shelves there are how far apart from each other they are and how wide and deep they are; then you identify the buttons and knobs on it using whatever tactile identifier you like; then, you learn how to put things in and out of the oven while it is turned off; afterwards, learn how to put things in the oven and turn it on with sighted assistance if you’re worried about how to do it. These things will take practice, if you practice and practice with someone there who can help you, you will be able to do it soon enough. I might do a video soon on some of my recommendations for people who are learning how to use their kitchen.

Great video. Do you only use white rice, or have you made this using brown rice, too? Do you have a preference? I'm not a tuna fan, so I would substitute with chicken. Also, I've never had capsicum before. I know what it is, I just haven't had it. Or maybe I have and didn't know I had it. ::Snort::

Yes, I suppose you could use brown rice with it, I haven’t though. Sometimes, when I don’t feel like using rice, I would use penne pasta instead. As for the capsicum, you probably ate it more often than you think, I think you guys called Bell peppers.

Mel’s Blind Life oh! Are they bell peppers? I thought they were chilies or some other kind of pepper. Capsicum, that is. You're probably right, I've had it before but just didn't make the connection with the name. Man oh man, all these different names around the world for one thing, it confuses my little brain. He he
