I would love to see a Blind Guardian song based on the Elder Scrolls universe. I can see the tales of Nerevar or Pelinal working really well as the basis for one of their acoustic songs.

@@phazonultra4244 Not sure about that. As much of Tolkien nerds as BG are, they never wrote a song that's fully in Quenya or Sindar. That would be too dorky, even for them. Other fantasy languages are out of the question, dragon tongue included.

I remember an Interview with Blind Guardian like 20 years ago, they said that they used to play Baldur's Gate. Nice to know that the guys from the band kept on gaming.

I could listen to Andre talk about video games all day. Would love to know his favorite game soundtrack or songs. I've also seen those lightning-fast hands in action, so I'd wager that he could decimate me in any game of his choosing! 🎸👑

Hansi ought to play one of the old Silent Hill games. His lyrics tend to be introspective and I'm sure he'd write a masterpiece based on it.

@@grumpymyotis7764 Those are the song that I meant when I said 'introspective' (alongside Lost in a Twilight Hall, Journey Through the Dark, Imaginations, I'm Alive, Thorn, The Soulforged etc). That said, none of these songs can be interpreted to be about Silent Hill.

A combination of my fav band and gaming talk, is like a dream come true! My first PC game, was LOOM, a point&click adventure from early 90s, but my frist ever game, was Donkey Kong on a ZX Spectrum!

I found out about Blind Guardian when I bought Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. The ambient gameplay music was great. Noticed that right away. When the concert video came on I was like "This song sounded really good. There is no way this is some amateur band that did this for the game. I have to look them up on KZfaq". And I actually fell in love with the metal genre thanks to Blind Guardian. You guys were my gateway drug. :-)

I once met Andre in a german pub. I told him to give Gothic a try, since it is a really good german RPG :D he will never try it of course haha but Gothic deserves love

This is awesome. He gave a shout out to good old Centipede, the great modern rpg’s and he’s even into a realism racer like Forza? Truly a connoisseur. And the bands music goes so well with many of these games. Surprised he never mentioned a Lord of the Rings game though, given the bands lyrical content haha.

I think we have same progress in the world in video games. My first computer video game machine was an Amiga 500, after Amiga 1200. Sill gaming now on Pc and Xbox. I play Sacred world f2 or your concert in it. Was really great (and fun).

Bravo Andre! I'm a player too. I started with NES; then mega drive, playstation 1 and 3 and, of course, pc games. Too many titles to remember but I love Deus ex serie, The Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dragon's Dogma, Zelda etc, etc, etc......

Have you ever looked at Deep Rock Galactic in the last two years? Really brilliant 4 Player coop with the best and cheesiest voicelines ever. And beer. And did I mentioned the dwarves? And beer. And the community is fantastic as you would expect from dwarf enthusiasts. And beer ..... Rock and stone! P.S.: Can´t wait for Oberhausen ..... and thanks for the show at Dinkelsbühl.

I remember him giving BG a shout out back in the day, and I too wonder if he still plays it. Really fun game. Loved that you could import your character and items from one game to the next. Think I'm still using one of Drizzt's swords. Currently stuck fighting that one dragon, which can both turn invisible and slap my entire party into unconsciousness, ugh.
