2012 was Blind Guardian's 25th anniversary. One way to celebrate this special occasion was the release of "Memories of a Time to Come" in January 2012.
Leading up to the release, Guardian TV was introduced. The first episode features the whole band taking questions from Facebook fans.
Clocking in at 5 minutes and 46 seconds, episode 1 of Guardian TV answers the following questions:
1. How did you decide on which songs to re-record for "Memories of a Time to Come"?
2. Have you ever thought about new live-playable versions of songs like "Battlefield"?
3. What do you think about another Blind Guardian-festival?
4. Is there any concert or event that is the most memorable after 25 years?
5. How do you go about writing lyrics?
6. What do you think about a concert with fan requested songs?

I love these guys so much...they are simply the best at what they do, with skill and passion beyond comparison... Their heart is simply in the right place. You can tell. At least Hansi's is, and Andre.

Making a web TV series like this shows just how much they truly love and respect their fans. It is very rare to see such an incredibly talented and influential band, with the level of worldwide prestige that Blind Guardian has obtained, still be so humble and appreciative when addressing their followers. Long live the Bards!

My very first time seeing blind guardian in San Francisco, USA they played last candle! My second favorite song of all time. My mind was blown and I was literally in tears from realizing a dream!

Saw you guys yesterday @ PPM-Fest in Belgium (Mons), it was terrific... my friend and I saw you as well in the VIP section (she immideatly freezed) --> Blind Guardian: THE BEST!

Hansi sounds like he's either very tired or getting sick. In either case, this video is just that much more valuable considering what he went through to bring it to us. Long live the Bards, and may their songs echo through the ages.

Good to know the 70k tons of Metal was remarkable for them too, because for me, it was absolutely UNFORGETABLE!!! And I have no shame to admit, I cried like hell, as well as sang the songs on both show on-board. But the best was to be able to talk with them and take pictures and watch other shows just beside them. Awesome!!! GUARDIAN RUUUUUULEEEEEESSSS!!!!

Imaginations through the Looking Glass Part 2 with lots of tons of Metal would be so fuckin´great.One evening pure Blind Guardian,second evening with a big Orchester and on the last evening they have to play a lot of Cover Songs from the long History of Heavy-Metal.

And "A Night Of The Opera"(2002) it seems to me one of the best albums of BG, was the last studio album made with Thomen on the drum and for me Thomen put his heart and soul to do this one of the best album in their career, it's a pity that he's not in BG and so the life goes on for each one, Frederik is a great drummer, Frederik occupy the seat of Thomen and this mean too much for us like BG's fans, and the "Imaginations Through The Looking Glass"(2004) DVD Live was the end of a Era with Thomen

It says 4 newly recorded classic tracks but from all the info i can find on memories of a time to come there's only 3: Valhalla Bard's song - Hobbit And then there was silence. Anyone know the other???

@mokhron I got to see them live last year. They played "And Then There Was Silence" and that was beyond beautiful. I was 99.9% satisfied.

Its not their English, which is perfectly fine by the way, it is their German accent. I believe they can pull off an American/British accent, at least Hansi, André and Marcus can (as seen by their vocal delivery), but they choose not to use it while speaking. It is quite normal, people all over the world do it.
