Funny enough, saying that Battle Beast is Omniman level is also an understatement.

I'm guessing Machine Head basically just promised a formidable opponent. In Battle Beast's case I bet almost anyone could hire him if they can convince him that who he'll be fighting will be strong enough to give him a challenge.

He probably calculated what it would take to overwhelm any attackers and somehow managed to locate BattleBeast... I still don't know how he contacted an alien Lion Demi-God. I still find it aggravating how they suddenly win the fight after losing with more members.

@@joelsasmad I have no clue. Only Episodes 3 and 6 wouldn't have worked to include the quotes, because the circumstances of how things happened in the show were different enough from the comics. What I mean: In the comics, Invincible was absent during the start of the fight between Rex and MG, missing the part where a little girl turned into a giant troll thing. So when he returned to see a big monster giving Rex a beatdown, Invincible called her "Ugly" because he had no idea who Monster Girl was or what her superhero gimmick was. The quote wouldn't work in the show, however, because Invincible was present during the entire fight and therefore knew who the Monster actually was and the context of the fight. Episode 6 is significantly more complicated to explain, but I'll wait for another time to do so.

Not only that but Nolan knew he didn't stand a chance against Battle Beast. If Omni Man came down there then Battle Beast would have started taking the fight seriously and probably would have killed everyone there effortlessly, including Omni Man

I think you're overblowing it. The subtle hints that the show drops that come back later is actually good. I'd hate if they made them incredibly obvious. And I'm curious what other writing choices you have a problem with since it's damn well written.

@@za-ir5ni I think you did misunderstood me a little bit, i dont want them to make things overtly obvious either, but when something that was meant to be a Joke literally flies over the heads of pretty much almost everyone watching it, then there just is a slight problem with the visual storytelling. The methods they use to convey their visual storytelling are indeed great, but they are more useful for comics themselves than animation. Because a comic is a purely visual medium, which means you have a lot more time to focus on the visual aspect of it all and properly absorb the visual storytelling that is going on, while animation, although also heavily reliant on visual storytelling also tells its story through proper timing and audio. The problem i have with tehse scenes i mentioned in particular, is because they are only really conveyed on a visual level, and either not given enough time to properly establish whats going on, or too much time for the punchline to properly hit. All in all, i still think Invincible is an amazing show, and lots of what they do is fantastic, but it is certainly not flawless, adn although i agree that i dont want things to always be 100% obvious, some things should still be conveyed a bit better, because if you accidentally confuse your audience by what is happening, then thats not good visual storytelling. For example, im very sure that the entire scene with the Sequids was suppossed to be quite obvious, but they just spend too little time and had too many other scenes between the beginning and the resolution of that plotline, so that the actual twist of that scene was just not conveyed properly. The mummy scene on the other hand spends a little too much time setting the scene and focussing on that one character at the beginning for us to even realize that a joke was happening (basically, you would need knoweldge of what they were originally making a parody of to understand that it is meant to be a joke at all at that point... otherwise it just seems like we were meant to take that scene 100% seriously). As for writing that i have an issue with (spoilers ahead), those mainly revolve around Amber specifically, and her writing within the last couple of episodes. I dont think she is as bad as many people say she is, but there are certain issues with her writing that are just very sloppy in the later half of this season, which make her a very confusing and very unlikable character to most. There are also some other minor things, such as how they handled Battle Beast in this episode, as it almost seemed more like he was running away because he was scared, when in reality it was not meant to look like that at all. Anyway, i still think this show is fantastic, but i just have some things i do wish they would be/get better at, and i wish that the second and third season are at least as good and hopefully even better.

@@soul6733 Somewhat yes, but i think they could have made it a bit more clear. There isnt much needed to convey it better, just a slightly different camera angel would have probably worked, and maybe instead of walking backwards, just a full turn around, showing his back to them and only leaving after that would have left a MUCH stronger impression on the Viewers, i think. It does still work somewhat, you are right, i may be a bit too harsh on that, but i think they could have definetley improved it to leave a much stronger impression on us.

@@TheJeSTeR7530 I don't know why anyone would misconstrue those scenes. Seriously majority of people knew they were jokes, and no one is having a problem with those. Yeah your overblowing something that is not even a problem. I mean maybe they flew over your and a few peoples heads. But honestly nothing is really bad with how they present things and if anything people are misconstruing some things because the show refuses to hand hold people in some instances. The fact some people couldn't grasp that isn't bad writing, it shows some people aren't really paying attention. Good writing asks you to actually think about things and come to a conclusion, not literally monologue on what's going on and than pin point on what happens (thats animes thing). Like seriously anyone with a brain could see he had no trouble fighting them and simply left out of revulsion to weak opponents. What should they have had him give a whole needless speech about how he is NOT running for like the two people who missed that.
