If you would go back 10 years ago and say a show about ponies would become popular, people would say you’re crazy and you must be joking. But now looks like the jokes on them, because My little pony: friendship is magic is a fantastic show. Its has an amazing reintroduction to its world and mythology waiting to be explored, the best flash animation since FHFIF, songs that are nice to listen to, and some fun and memorable characters with a good amount of depth. True, I wouldn’t call this a masterpiece, due to having some predictable moments, a couple characters could’ve been used better and can be a bit repetitive at times, but that shouldn’t stop people from enjoying it. Plus, I’m amazed how not only how this show not only lasted 221 22 minutes episode in 9 years, which means it lasted longer than regular show and adventure time, but throughout all that time, the main character, Twilight Sparkle, not once have a single love interest throughout the entire series, and no I’m not counting equestria girls. I think everyone should at least give it a watch, if you love shows like the classic powerpuff girls. I’m gonna be generous and give this series a 8/10, since it has its standout episodes. 2010 has been the year remembered for bringing animation television back on top and nice to look back at the shows that revitalized television. From the game changer phenomenon Adventure Time, to the bizarre regular show, to MLP, a show that took an absurd toy franchise and made it a cultural hit.

I wholeheartedly agree. Although, I would add, that one of the series' greatest strengths is its' use of the (mostly) episodic nature of the story to slowly and gradually build up the characters' personalities and relationships with each other. This is something most other shows, especially those meant for younger audiences, just don't pull off well, but MLP did so extraordinarily well, even to the degree that many characters were so fleshed out, they came across as "real" people. This is extremely rare, because you don't even get this from most shows meant for adults.

Disagree with this. This show is overrated now after Season 4 the show went downhill with 5 being OK but the last 4 seasons where rubbish. The characters are inconsistent in diffrent episodes, the writing is mixed, the animation has flaws, the morals can be pretty bad from time to time, its a kids show so most of its lessons have been done to death to. It's also childish to like a lot of other kids shows.

@@lordshenfan6625 I beg to differ. Seasons 8 & 9 were pretty weak, but the rest before that were great. A few good episodes here and there, but overall those last two were weak.

I still cry every time I hear that last song. I definitely see Fluttercord as canon now, but also Appledash. They're clearly living together, but they act like they're married too.

"Thank you. Sometimes even the Princess of Friendship needs a reminder that the magic of friendship is more than rainbow lasers." I still kinda baffles me how they made Twilight, basically, learn the same lesson twice in one season. Both in the premier and the finale.

A year later, but if you think about it we are constantly relearning the same lessons over and over again in real life. I like that they do this in the show tbh. Gives me some reassurance when I don’t get a lesson right the first time.

Hilarious how King Sombra just starts crying when they go 'glowing eyes' mode then literally gets the flesh burnt off his skeleton then turned to dust.

It was a perfect ending to a perfect series and there are so many times throughout the series that made me tear up. To think I’d dedicate a decade of my life to MLP I’d have called you insane but I’m glad I did.

NO FUCKING WAY IT IS BEEN 3 YEARS. It feels like it ended just a month ago. Jeez. This show always will have a special place in my heart❤️. Maybe I am not able to move on to new generation show it is just that I am too attached to g4 charactes

@@Michiko458 I've seen A New Generation a few times. Only seen the first few episodes of it's sequel series Make Your Mark (I think). It's okay, but not nearly as good as Gen4.

So, this is nearly the end of the reuploads. I have more movies, including the MLP movie, a lot of side stuff (including a fair amount of MLP fan stuff, memes, etc.), as well as Korra and Psycho-Pass, but the reuploads are creeping towards the end.

During "The Magic of Friendship Grows" in the final scene, the fates of various characters are unknown, specifically Celestia, Luna, the Pillars, Shining Armor, Cadance, Cheerilee, Zecora, the Wonderbolts from the show's original time period, Mr. and Mrs. Cake, and Sunset Shimmer.

Celestia and Luna are both immortal, through time. The pillars, except for Starswirl, don't seem that old, even the old one was magically wrinkly. Shining armor is probably just old and cadence cannot age too. Cherilee and zecora are similar ages to the main 6. The wonderbolts we knew were probably retired. The cakes could be dead and sunset is also similar age to the main 6.

I'm so late but i think i wanna say that pinkie got some kind like discord's magic too. Like you said the chaotic one. Even from season 8 where all the unicorns and creatures magic are all gone pinkie seemed to get her 'magic' too that came to her face

Yeah, they were basically acting like a married couple too, whether or not they actually got married, that's the vibe they have. I get that he was too busy reacting to their designs to hear what they were saying, but I still wanted to see what he would say about it. Also since it seems like Fluttershy and Discord are living together in some way, even if portals are involved.

20:20 I think it’s stupid to compare, there is still a difference. In season 4, he literally teamed up with Tirek to rule Equestria, and here he wanted the three villains to attack and Twilight to defeat them, while he was not on the side of the opponents. Let's just admit that Discord has very radical methods for increasing confidence

During the episode of the ending of the end. When chrysalis, Cozy glow and Tirek Got defeated and turn to stone. Did you ever feel sorry for them and deserved to have Second chance of redemption.

Especially since Cozy Glow was just a child, and we don't know who/what made her that way. Did Twilight even contact her parents? What does her family think of what happened to her? People (and ponies) can definitely have a dark past but become amazing, happy, and kindhearted people in the future. I know people who have been evil in the past, but because sweet and loving people. I'd hate to imagine if they were just killed for what they did instead of getting the chance to become the beautiful people they are today.

@@ShizuruNakatsu I wish we knew the truth about cozy. But unfortunately the writers didn't had enough time to make a backstory for her so that's kind of sad. But I did make some theories. Like we all know that she believes that friendship is power and draining all the magic and Equestria will get her more friends. More friends equal power, power equals domination. But what if hear me out. She didn't want to conquer Equestria or Force everyone to be her friends. What she truly wanted was to have a family and I think she wants more to get rid of all the magic I think she wants to make everyone in Equestria and Beyond to suffer the pain like she did.

Okay, now that I've seen the one, main part, I was waiting for, I can honestly say that Applegeek had the best reaction to it, imp. Though FlamingShark's was better than Kickassreaction's, who didn't really seem fazed by the revelation, which is a little surprising to me with how big of a Discord fan he is.

I can't believe the ponies are so easily manipulated to hate each other based on race (as in earth pony, unicorn, pegasus). I mean, a Canterlot royal guard calling APPLEJACK "earth pony"? As if she isn't one of the heroes who literally saved your kingdom several times. Such disrespect based on something like a physical trait. I hate that kind of tribalism. "Us [insert label here] stick together", or "all [insert label here] are [insert insult here]"... It's the kind of thing humans do in our world all the time, and I hate it.

I invite you, Shark, to join the Save My Little Pony campaign and help persuade Hasbro and their associates to give G4 MLP a better canon ending by going back and editing or replacing some of the episodes of this season, which are so contrived and half-assed that they’ve basically ruined the show and franchise. Also, Equestria Girls needs a proper ending of its own. You in?
