So, a few things about Slayer's two supers. The first one, Super Mappa Hunch, makes Slayer move so fast that his clothes can't keep up. This is easier to see when it's the killing blow thanks to the game slowing down and emphasizing the last hit for every round. The second super, Last Horizon, is the strongest super in the game. Unlike every other super in Strive, which all cost 50 Tension (the game's equivalent to a super meter), Last Horizon costs 100 Tension. A.K.A., a full bar of meter. You can only hold 100 Tension in this game. On some characters, you can just delete them after one counter hit into Last Horizon.

I would heavily recommend the videos by GekkoSquirrel that cover the meanings behind the lyrics of each character's theme song. It is a great way to get to know each character. There is also the Woolie VS videos that go into much much more depth on the stories and lore of the Guilty Gear universe. His video series feels like an epic retelling of the entire timeline of the series, but one that mixes in some comedic elements via dry humor.

Potempkin's super isn't a counter but an air grab, a little correction on May's position in the crew, yes she deffinitly looks like she would be the captain, especialy in her classoc design but she's the first mate of the Jellyfish Crew, Johnny is the actuall captain collecting orphans and naming them after the month he found them. Anji, the blue dancing guy with the fans, he's the one with the counter super :3 but again, it's such a delight to watch people react to stuff I take for granted now and be all excited and hyped about it XD

You should listen to all the characters themes they rock so hard

When I started playing strive I mained 2 characters, Jack’O and Potemkin. In my opinion, Potemkin’s Japanese voice is much more iconic and impactful compared to his English voice, but then we have Jack’O who’s Japanese voice is super high pitched and gets real annoying real quick, compared to her English voice who sounds much more mature and her lines in game want to be childish but always end on a “yea no I’m not doing this” which works so well for her character. Tldr, I swapped voice language every time I changed what character so play.

If you want another guilty gear video recommendation, i suggest "why you hate fighting insert character here" by GeckoSquirel, really sums up a character in a nutshell.

Some examples, without saying who they belong to, are: one being about coming to terms with how they were raised, treated as one thing over another for reasons; to eventually accept who they have become; while another is a stalwart challenger of the ills of the world starting out as a slave in his society, and yet, even though he may not be the "best and brightest"; they still aim to fight for everyone's right to live freely. Each song is a masterpiece in their own right, and can equally be good for "My Current Mood is..." listening.

if its just about the animation stuff i would recommend taking a look at the granblue fantasy versus rising super skybound arts. they are different form this but the animations and stuff are quite beautiful ^^ though its form a different fighting game so no rush or anything since doing too many different things can be messy^^ just a recommendation after all :D

Delilah didn’t “just stands there” sometimes she also literally cower part of the character(either yours or your opponent) which could really mess up some players since you can’t see what attack is being used. Also she is good emotional support. 9:32 interesting moment he doesn’t actually believe into aliens, yet every time he wins aliens literally kidnap his opponent, which he always can’t understand. He literally get a call, turn around to answer, alien kidnap his opponent, and he sits just there… thinking XD 10:24 interesting fact about Ky, that I only found out few days ago. In older versions of the game his sword has different hilt. I always thought it’s just a redesign, but when I was watching random cutscenes from Xrd on the KZfaq, I saw that he actually broke hilt of his sword, when he fought with Sol(don’t remember why, I need properly watch whole story of Xrd). Also he apparently just went to South Africa, and declared himself a “president of eastern (if I remember correctly) Chipp kingdom”(or something like that don’t actually remember name of that kingdom.
