A guess: They were probably so ill-equipped to handle this uncomfortable situation, that they decided being mean was better than being helpless. I’m guessing they were so out of their depth and overwhelmed by her disability and resulting depression, that they just defaulted to behaviors that would definitively end any chance they would ever have to see her again. It’s not an excuse for such disgusting and inhuman behavior, but it’s all I can think of to even begin explaining why that happened. It’s the motive I would write if I wanted to put a bully in a story anyway.

14 year old girls are horrible. When they are faced with something that they don’t understand or that is different from what they are used to, instead of educating themselves, they tend to ostracize it. Not all girls but a lot of them do. It’s horrible but it’s true.
@iqra2956

Dating? Really Megyn, that’s the best question you could come up with? How about you ask Molly about how she’s working with Samsung to develop and test their accessibility features? You get 10 minutes to talk to a such an inspirational and strong woman and you want to know if she’s dating anyone? How disappointing.
@sgt.guardsman2221

Maybe Megan didn't know about the Samsung deal. I didn't hear about it in the interview. Did they talk about it? Just saying....
@donrainesoh
@donrainesoh 5 жыл бұрын
Emily Pickhardt while I agree they could have asked better questions I also can understand the dating. There are so many ppl out there with a disability that don’t feel like they can find a loved one. That question and her answer could make a person watching say yeah, I can put myself out there and date.
@roseelley4470
@roseelley4470 5 жыл бұрын
Good point about dating and it's true. It is hard enough to meet someone when you have everything going for you. Add disabilities or other issues into the equation and it is easy to feel like you can not find a loved one (worth keeping).

I’m blind as well. But not as a child. It happened at 55. I’m 62 now. It is a new world. I’m learning to do makeup looks again, thought I couldn’t do it. I’m mourning not driving and being independent where I could go wherever I want to. My blindness is not like Molly’s from RP. CONGRATS TO MOLLY for being an inspiration

@ashleysmith6187
@ashleysmith6187 5 жыл бұрын
The same way people who can see can type without looking at the keyboard, memorizing the keys and maintaining the proper hand placements. Also, most computers and phones come with voice navigation tools. Molly has an entire video on how she and other people who are blind navigate technology.

Amanda B. Thank you for asking. No I don’t. I became blind at 25 in my left eye by failed detached retina x 2. Then at age 55, I had a viral stroke of the right retina followed by this year PION (posterior ischemic optic neuralgia). That’s basically when the optic nerve doesn’t get enough blood flow and things go completely black. This could also happen to my left eye in time but I only see shapes with my left eye now. I hope that answers your question. 😊

Also, mention some of the other cool things she's done before and during her KZfaq career. She spoke to audiences of thousands, at WE day and at the UN, won an all-Canadian beauty pageant a few years after going blind, published an EP, spoke to head developers and CEOs about accessible technology and, overall helped hundreds of thousands of high school students and others through her public speaking career. There's so much to Molly, her huge success on KZfaq is just one part of it.

@@katiehefner7162 yea Molly is obsessed with fashion and makeup and loves that attention so although it might seem like they went superficial I think they did a good job of asking a variety of questions and also focusing on the things Molly loves. Yay I'm so proud of Molly! She's just such a good person and she always makes me smile whenever I watch her videos. It's so nice for good KZfaqrs being interviewed instead of trouble makers like Jake paul. Now that is how you represent KZfaq. Good job Molly!

Molly is like a angle she is definitely a inspiration and a fun KZfaqr to watch. As someone who had over 15 or more ear infections in my lifetime and partly death and unexpected seizures one that caused me to fall off my chair since My body shook violently I thought threw got medication to help slow down my seizure and am learning to live with the minor and sometimes serious hearing loss graduated academy and got a great job. I’m proud to be subscribed to Molly she’s taught me a lot about myself I’m finding my purpose again and her story is inspiration to me and many people. God bless Molly. Yours truly a subscriber for life
