Solid episode!!. i love how this was basically a very truncated version of S1 , i thought all the nods and fan service were fun and sweet ( Malcolm and Moira married , Thea Dead , Adrian Chase being the GA of Earth 2 and Tommy Merlyn being the Dark Archer ) . i wonder why The Monitor needs Dwarf star particles?...also [frick]ing Earth 2 got destroyed!! , does that mean Harry and Jesse are dead too?. one thing i did love .. Oliver giving an inspiring speech and being a hero to Tommy instead of trying to kill him like he did Malcolm in S1 ..it just shows how far he has come. The Flashforwards were fine ..weakest part of the episode ( also Tommy turning good again was a bit rushed ) but I’m so excited for the rest of the season !!.

I hope Jesse and Harry made it out.

the showrunner from arrow asked permission from eric Wallace the new showrunner from flash if they could destroy all the people from earth 2 and he said yes go for it however I hope Harrison and jesse wells made it out though please let me know what you think

No one was ready for this i am not ready for this what a season this will be what a crisis this will be i am hyped and sad as well.

yeah i had no idea what they were gonna do with this first episode and i bloody loved it. One thing i did wonder though was how Oliver was going to explain disappearing again to his mother but the red doom thing wiped her out anyways so i guess not important. So is Earth 2 dead now, just when we got Tommy Dark Archer and Adrian Green Arrow? Aw. But yeah this a lot of fun and I did chuckle loudly at the show of Oliver trying to get out of the car before the reveal that it was 'our' Dig in the driving seat. That was neatly done. :)

I've noticed a pattern in CW shows (happened a lot in the last few seasons of supernatural) of people on an alternate earth running from death and then stopping mere steps from a portal that will save their lives, and then dying because they stopped to talk.

You know all they had to do so fans wouldn’t be confused is just put text on the bottom saying Earth-2. Also for Flash fans I doubt they would erase Harry and Jesse off screen, if anything Jesse probably grabbed Harry and used one of those portal discs and went to a random earth. Edit: I guess Earth- 1 will be Siren Laurels home again, indefinitely.

Know what would be crazy and i feel like its a probability that the moniter weve seen is the anti moniter or is haveing oliver go get these items for him but in flash also is insists that flash must die like if the moniter is to watch warning wouldve been enough but he tells oliver not to save earth 2 problems but by the end its basically snapped out of exsistance cuase it cant be acoincidence... Suspicious i think so

Captain Lance didn't question Malcolm on Earth-2 because he died when Laurel was 13 (revealed in S6xE13). So unless SCPD hires corpses (which they should look into considering how many police they go through) then he wouldn't be there.

that poll comment of the person saying that the first 6 episodes of this season will be about the first 6 seasons, i wonder how the person felt when he realized he was partially right.

don't forget that arrow and flash are not lined up time wise. if I remember correctly Mia was a couple months old at the end of Last season ie she was born in late August early September in late December early January is when Oliver disappeared. according to comics there is Time travel to recruit heroes.

I loved this episode so much!! It's a spectacular season 1 tribute just in one episode and I enjoyed every single reference

I'm curious as to the circumstances of the Batman/Deathstroke situation on Earth-2. Maybe Bruce Wayne was Deathstroke (good), while Slade Wilson was Batman ("bad").

This was the reaction I was most excited for. Because I know nothing about the DC verse outside of these shows (okay, not nothing, but very little. And NOTHING about Arrow), all the explanations and connections you guys make are just wildly exciting.

Not gonna lie, I live in NZ and so s8 hasn't been released here for us yet and probably wont be released on Netflix New Zealand until October, so I'm truly here to just start watching season 8 😂 please send me the season. I'm dying out here for it 😂

Question for all of you fans: I only really watch Arrow in the Arrowverse shows now. Used to watch The Flash for 3 seasons, but stopped. However, should I (or do I NEED to) start to watch The Flash to prepare for or make sense of the Crisis?

So it looks like episodes 1-7 are setting up the crisis. Episode 8 is of course Arrow's part of the crossover. And my guess is episodes 9 and 10 are about what happened to make Star City 2040 the way it is and why they hate vigilantes again. Great episode!

so I just had a crazy thought we know a few things 1) Oliver is going to die 2) We see the Flash die in the only future that survives the crisis 3) The Monitor is seemingly playing a game of chess between keeping Barry from seeing the outcome, Brining Lex Luthor back to life, Brining John's Brother out of the phantom zone, and having Oliver run through the multiverse on a scavenger hunt 4) When the Monitor was Testing them he gave Oliver have the Flash's Speed ** What if this is all to create a way for Oliver to tap into the Speed Force to die in Barry's place by using the Dwarf Star (and whatever else the Monitor will send him to get) to build a machine capable of letting him use the Speed-force using the skills of Lena and Lex- possibly with John's brother providing some kind of psychic/mental element to help things along Like I can't help but to think that this is what the writers are going towards....

Out of the last two seasons I have been disappointed with Arrow. I rather really enjoyed this episode. Even the "In the future" flash..forwards? were pretty solid for me. A little dawsons creek drama-y but ~~

Jesse and harry still would be alive because J wanted new flash in earth 3 so she is in Earth 3 and harry after thinker thing went back to Jesse on earth 3 not on earth 2 i think they are saving the caracters for crisis and if they appear that probably would be on the flash not the arrow

Im not a fan of the flash forward as Oliver is not in it, unlike the flashback. It cut a lot of Stephen Amell's screen time in each episode.

Going for Earth 2 at the start shows they are serious. They took it out before even the crossover takes place. I love it.

So wait a minute. Since everything is happening the same, just other people with different parts that means that slade is on the island but in this earth he's batman, and bruce wayne is sherlock holmes because of that quote. That's pretty sick though, deathstroke being batman
