@@smithytom7405 I'm not saying it's "woke". I'm saying what important topics this show tackles despite some people saying it's too silly, when it's covered a lot of serious and not represented enough topics.

This season is really fun, and has a better vibe than the previous ones. The "woke" parts are just annoying. They do it in so many series and shows. It's like, we get it, can we move on?

@Someguy "woke" scenes can be annoying when done just for the sake of it (a la supergirl) but when it's done right like legends it's awesome and barely noticed except when you want to notice

The real thawne died in S1 after Eddie killed himself. The thawne in legends is the one Barry pulled from the timeline in flashpoint, then he went on his business after getting Barry home, then legends season 2 happened, then he died, and now this. Thawne on flash after crisis on earth x crossover is a time remnant (technically all thawnes are remanants after S1) that escaped his fate and went to to earth x to invade earth 1, then Barry let him escape but he got caught in Nora's time in S5 and was sentenced to death but he manipulated Nora into freeing him, Barry let him escape again, then he died in crisis, tried to take over nash's body in S6 but failed, Speedforce and Barry brought him back to life to fight Godspeed and now we got him in Armageddon in s8

@@PhoenixTsukino the amount of characters I head cannon as ace it's ridiculous lol it's so nice to see one intentionally written (and refreshingly, it wasn't the AI turned human lol). This show is also great at subtle neurodivergent representation which always made me feel really at home, and now more so.

I did too, but - and this is probably just the ace in me talking - the framing of it felt a bit off. While I get what they were trying to do, declaring someone identifying as ace as 'coming out' seemed... I dunno. A bizarrely allosexual way of seeing it? I know, I know, it's Zari who says it, not Spoons herself, so that might have been the point, it's just... As someone who doesn't really 'get' the sexual attraction side of things, I find it frustrating how big a factor it is in - well, everything.

@@jollyrayda totally agree actually, there was some aro erasure issues too but I'm just so used to nothing at all that I was over the moon with just getting... something lol as sad and problematic as that is. When I try to explain being on the aroace spectrum to important people in my life most of them can't wrap their head around it. I keep wishing there was more representation just so that people would have a frame of reference. I've had a close family member actually say to me "couldn't you just be gay, that would be easier" and "this is how you feel now but later on you'll want someone". I'm at the age where family is down your throat to get married and have kids so even though it isnt a huge part of my life, its starting to cause me distress because of pressure and a lack of understanding. Sorry for the pseudo trauma dump.

Giving Thawne even more speed, even if he still got reset every day seems like a really risky move. There's no way he wouldn't try to escape if he had his speed, especially if it was "increased infinitely" as you put it.
