The Untitled album for me is THE quintessential blink-182 record, and the tour that followed it was a perfect showcase of where the band were at creatively.
I've been listening feverishly to bootlegs of that tour, dreaming of studio versions of those interludes, intros and outros and I felt that my chops as a producer and engineer were finally up to par in order to do these versions justice. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed recording them.

This is the greatest musical discovery of my life. I obsessed over these live recordings for years, coping with the only the recordings from that one dude who recorded the entire show ( not that common for someone to do that at that time ). These are blink 182 at their absolute best and these are the best versions of these songs that exist. I can’t thank you enough for the gift of being able to listen to these in hi fidelity. Forever in debt to you.

Their show in Camden, New Jersey back in 2004. Which I’m sure you used for some of these songs, in my opinion was their best live performance ever. I love how Tom adds guitar parts to the bridge of the songs, his guitar tone was amazing.

I saw this tour back in 2004 thanks for this 🤘. I remember everything being stupidly fast 😂. *edit, just a suggestion……. maybe make a live version of this, add hall reverb the whole track and add backing audience noise/screams to get that live feeling?

They likely took the isolated vocal tracks and created the instrumentals then mixed them together, then adjusted the vocals tempo to match the faster tempo of the instrumental, also used pitch shifting on the vocals to change the notes to sound more like the live versions

Honestly I love the speed they played in 2004, even though it was probably because they wanted to get the show over and done with and just out done each other with speed..but it sounded so punk and good…great job sounds sooooo good 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

This is actually wrong. They played fast to try and bring more energy to the performance. I believe all members of the band have said this in interviews.

@@muccmaster I’m not being funny, but if you don’t wanna be somewhere or do something you do it quick if you have to do it…I really don’t believe it was for energy reasons…months after they had the big split, and during this period no of them where even talking to each other Tom used management to communicate with Travis and mark…just saying 🤙🏻

@@hellscircus Exactly. You can tell during the interviews around this time (2004) they almost wanted nothing to do with each other. There was no banter or joking around like there was in say 1999-2002. If they were joking around, it was VERY forced.

This is so fucking rad in concept. I kinda wish it was more like mark tom and travis show with the mixed vocals from shows and less like ripped vocals from the album versions but that virtually impossible to do unless you secretly recorded the shows as like their touring mixer 20 years ago. This just feels like an updated version of these songs which is just so cool to hear for the first time, especially since the live arrangements have always been more complex and overall cooler than the studio versions. Awesome job man

Thanks! I am, I've got a few different projects but the main one was Missile Society (though we're changing name and recording new music at the moment!). Missile stuff is on Spotify etc, and we actually met through the blink-182 subreddit!

I was finally able to get around to listening to more of this than just the initial scrub through I gave it. I just wanted to say this is one of the single most impressive things I've seen a fan of a band create. The sounds you were able to get are just perfect and while there may be a couple tweaks to the mix to make it's very listenable, which is more than I can say for a lot of these types of covers. As I commented on another of your vids, you have got to make a Patreon to fund another project like this. A rerecord of California or Nine would be incredible.

Best era of blink ever. The interludes and breakdowns in the middle of songs such as stay together for the kids are so good. That Wembley 2004 show was just incredible in many ways. Thanks for this!
