Arivu is the father. His desire will be to see his child and *estranged* wife finally and get reconnected. He tries this till his death. Gopal will *thwart* his chances as he is the only one who knows that he is a time traveller and he wants apurva as his son because he is *infertile* . Just when arivu realizes that he has gotten into this time loop in which it is not possible for him to simply reconnect without being killed or killing apurva,apurva has find his own way to make sense of situation. That is by ending lives of both.
