He reminds me of what my guru Ram Dass describes. The way to help someone become enlightened is not to force them or pull them up, but to be this centered energy for them... A space for them to come up or out into. Not being pulled into the melodrama of their life. Just kind of a witness and a guiding force not being affected. It's beautiful to see in real life.

@@SalveASMRSo many comments about him being the glue. He's the most expendable member. Tom and Mark creatively just go into different directions. That what leads do and blink happens to have 2. Travis is just someone that can't go off solo. All his projects are behind someone else's name. Not that he's not talented at what he does, but he's not gonna lead anything. If Tom and Mark leave people will notice, if Travis left no one will notice. There's so many talented drummers and producers, like Ilan Rubin. Not a lot of Toms or Marks...

I beat the same cancer Mark beat about 14 years ago. And when I say the same, I mean the exact same stage and subtype of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. When I first heard he was diagnosed all I could think was, “Man, I hope he has an easier time with this shit than I did.” You just don’t know how rough chemotherapy is unless you have been through it. I’m so happy he made it through and they have this opportunity to be together as a band again.

This is probably the most beautiful band interviews I have ever watched. I relate so deeply to Tom when he talks about being "moved by emotion" and being on a constant path of self discovery. Felt the same for years. Listening to Mark talking abouts his experience so candidly too is so deep and touching. All leading to the point they find themselves at now, which seems really genuinely positive. It really puts things in perspective, and gives me hope for my own friendship issues and over all hardships working out eventually.

From an angry teen listening to TOYPAJ on my discman on the school bus, to missing seeing them the first time because of Travis dropping out of a show in Upstate NY due to DJ AM’s death after their plane crash, to “Always” playing a at my wedding, to “Dammit” played in the OR during my c section for my little girl. I beat Cancer for the 3rd time, and hearing them talk about all of the experiences, life lessons and their careers is very special to me. All through chemo I would listen to the band, it got me through a lot of darkness, and literally saved my life!!! My god, Mark Hoppus is an incredibly bright spirit, I love to listen to him and watch him smile in anticipation for the punchline of Tom’s joke. I loved listening to Tom laugh and take everything in jest. Travis is so thoughtful and seems to absorb every word in the room. Blink-182 holds a special place in my heart. They were my very first concert at The Forum in 1999 when I was in the 6th grade. I practically grew up with their music, and seeing them perform live again this past June in LA was nothing short of magical. It's amazing how their music can make my 35-year-old self feel like a kid again. This interview and seeing them hanging out and joking around together is giving me goosebumps. It's incredible to witness the bond they share. I'll continue to love this band forever, and I'm so grateful they're making music again. Long live Blink-182!

As a 37 year old who grew up with Blink, this is by far one of the greatest comebacks in the history of music (at least to me) I know so many people grew up with them and then had their hearts broken when they split.....but I think for a lot of people my age, we're in the perspective and realization that life is indeed too fucking short. Sometimes we need reminders of that - and to see what they've created now and being a band again is seriously one of the best fucking things ever
