You've Lost That Loving Feeling Righteous Brothers JAR-ReMix Stereo HiQ Hybrid:
• You've Lost That Lovin...
“YOU’VE LOST THAT LOVIN’ FEELIN’” was found to be the #1 MOST listened to song of the entire 20th Century.
LYRICS…
You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips
And there's no tenderness like before in your fingertips
You're trying hard not to show it
But baby, baby I know it
You lost that lovin' feelin'
Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
You lost that lovin' feelin'
Now it's gone, gone, gone, whoa-oh
Now there's no welcome look in your eyes when I reach for you
And now you're starting to criticize little things I do
It makes me just feel like crying
'Cause baby, something beautiful's dyin'
You lost that lovin ' feelin'
Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
You lost that lovin' feelin'
Now it's gone, gone, gone, whoa-oh
Baby, baby, I'd get down on my knees for you
If you would only love me like you used to do, yeah
We had a love, a love, a love you don't find everyday
So don't, don't, don't, don't let it slip away
Baby, baby, baby, baby
I beg you please, please, please, please
I need your love, need your love
I need your love, I need your love
So bring it on back, so bring it on back
Bring it on back, bring it on back
Bring back that lovin' feelin'
Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
Bring back that lovin' feelin'
'Cause it's gone, gone, gone
And I can't go on, whoa-oh
Bring back that lovin' feelin'
Whoa, that lovin' feelin'
Bring back that lovin' feelin'
'Cause it's gone, gone, gone

These aren't creamy little guys. They are the apex predators of Blue Eyed Soul. Saw them in 1965 in San Diego with the love of my life, Sharon . They blew the place up. At 76. Sharon is still the love of my life.

So good to hear your lady is still your lady, in a world where people throw away marriage and love, like it's a used tissue, it's heartening to see some things, like brilliant music and real love, still rock on.

And remember this is live, with no autotune, no real sound mixing, two-track mono and no added adjustments. Real, professional singers with a command of their melodic talents. There is no one to compare to them, outside of maybe the Everly Brothers, but that's it. It's a shame we don't have that today.

I was lucky enough to see them a few times, the first at my high school senior prom in 1964, in NYC at Basin Street East. Every prom date in the place was ready to rush the stage, lol. They were an amazing duo, and we haven't anything better since.

Also, look at the followspot lighting. They wanted to feature each of themselves during every song. I didn't run followspot for this show, but look at how each brother steps out of the light to let the other do solo. Yeah, you don't get that kind of cooperation so each get the spotlight. They were fantastic.

Autotune, and the rest of the technology is a very small part of the problem. The music industry in the United States and globally is rigged. For instance, compare, and no talent puppet like Taylor Swift to people like Karen Carpenter, Diana Ross, Linda Ronstadt, Tina Turner, Loretta Lynn, Etta James, etc. you’ll have your answer. The corporate criminal elite were on the music industry and everything else are just trying to put out as much product as they possibly can. These people are the ruling class, and they are the reason why everything, not just music sucks now.

The songs of the era reflected the ethos of that long lost society. Respect. Humility. Steadfastness. Hope. Slow reveals in all aspects of life. Poise and discovery. Today the children at 13 are sated and tired of life. I would burst from my bed every morning filled with wonder and anticipation. Every sound I heard , every person I saw , every word I spoke , every interaction in the classroom and the sport field was a joy. The music contained the same dimensions. I am reminded of that much underrated classic from the Bee Gees - We Must Have Lost The Road. Peace and blessings to everyone.

That’s what Ebay, Goodwill, yard sales, etc are for. I gave about 300 albums from the late 60’s through the 80’s to a vintage shop in the mid 2000’s as I was downsizing, getting old, etc. Music from many genres. Regret that decision everyday! Record stores were a great place to hang out back then, ie: browsing or searching though the aisles and rows of records, meeting new people, talking music, purchasing both old and new music, finally finding that album you have been hunting for forever……Good memories!

Trivia from the ole folks….they were at a black soul club in Detroit or Chicago and sang this before it was recorded and went national. They didn’t even have a name. A group of Marines was listening. As they finished, one Marine stood and shouted…that was RIGHTEOUS, brothers. As they say…the rest is history. Just wanna point out…no vocal gimmicks, no sound mixing, no synthesizers or blending Just to VERY TALENTED singers. Soul has no skin color.

I’ll be 80 in May, but 4:45 I never get tired of listening to the music of the “old days”. I still have my record rack with all my 45 RPM records from those days. My kids have promised to keep it in the family. My daughter’s friend gave me a portable record player to play them on. The sound quality is not the best, but the memories are always wonderful!

Hi Craig, thanks for posting this. There are at least two versions of this song. This one & Wolf's 1st ever appearance in England. You're bringing back an ol' Man's memories. Thanks again, James from Chicago

It's fun to watch the ladies reactions (men's bass voices are panty droppers!). But I really want to say something else. And that is thank God the audio of this song is pretty good. The video indicates how dated it is, but the sound is good. What a performance!

I have seen your video like half a dozen time cause I like the Righteous brothers and request videos all the time. Best part of this was when she the one on the left said ....... "I want that loving feeling back". Everytime I have seen this video that has given me a chuckle.

I feel like a lot of people who grew up with this music use it as an excuse to throw unwarranted shade at younger generations for the kind of music we enjoy these days, but no matter what tastes in music people have or the origin of their very being, there’s no denying from anyone that these brothers had talent and soul. We younger folk can and do appreciate it too, and there’s plenty of older folk who enjoy and appreciate new music as well. Life for music enjoyers as a whole would be a lot more simple if people didn’t attack each other for their tastes, and simply accepted the fact that music changes with time and there will always be genres and music not suited to your tastes- which is fine. That’s existed since the dawn of humanity. It only becomes an issue when you let it fester into hatred for anything new rather than open your mind or simply pass on it as go on with your day.
