Member of 1984 4x100m that set the WR - Ron Brown: 4th in 100m at 1984 Olympics. Member of the 4x100m that broke the World Record - Michael Bates (KR): Won the Bronze Medal in the 200m at the 1992 Olympics - Phillip Epps: #2 in the world in the 200m in 1992 There are 20-25 more worthy names. ***Darrell Green beat Graddy, Brown, & Epps in the 60 yard dash in the NFL Fastest Man***

Before O.J. Simpson was running from the cops, he was running away from NFL defenders. Simpson was one of the fastest running backs ever to lace up a pair of cleats and gained over 12,100 yards from scrimmage in his time with the Buffalo Bills. He was a lethal threat when the ball was handed to him, but Simpson was also a capable pass-catcher, with 175 receptions to his credit in his nine-year stint with Buffalo. Simpson's legacy may be all but gone at this point, but once upon a time, few could hope to keep up with Simpson on the field.

He once kicked a 65 yard field goal in warmups, into the wind, and it went out of the back of the stadium. Mathematicians at the game said it would’ve been good from 120 yards. When he was a kid, he hit a home run over the fence, then, ran to the neighbor’s house, jumped in the air, and caught the ball, before it could shatter a window. During a high school basketball game, he once dunked from behind the free throw line. It counted as 3 points, because he was well behind the 3 point line, when he left the ground. I forgot to mention, the free throw was on the other side of the court. He once ran a marathon, and when he got to the finish line, the other runners hadn’t even started yet. He ran so fast, that he went back in time. He was an amazing athlete.

Bo Jackson is my favorite. Also the disrespect to the Kickers and Punters is insane.
@biggalaxy91022 ай бұрын
Bo is nowhere near the fastest player in NFL history, let alone the fastest RB in NFL history. The facts: the fastest Bo ever ran a 100 meters was a 10.44. There were so many faster RBs that played in the NFL. Herschel Walker 10.23 being one of them. What's sad is, my childhood hero is a liar. He keeps lying to the world about running a 4.13 40 yard dash electric time when, in fact, there was NO electric timing in the NFL in 1985. Now Bo, being 225 lbs running a 10.44, is fast for football, but it's not the fastest time for a RB. Jeff Demps 10.01 holds that title for RBs. Check out the Dolphins RBs. They are ridiculously faster than Bo ever was. Raheem Mostert 10.28 & De'Von Achane 10.12. That's scary fast. Bo knows embellishing & lying. Sad but true.

Bit of a stretch to sat Jim Hines played professional football. He spent the 1968 season on the Dolphins practice squad. He appeared in ten games with Miami in 1969, gaining a total of 52 all purpose yards. The fact that he was given the nickname “Oops” is a testament to his ability, or more accurately, lack of ability. He played in one game with the Chiefs in 1970 and has been ranked as the 10th. worst NFL player of all time. Contrasting Hines NFL career with that of Bob Hayes is like comparing Mr. Ed to Secretariat. No wide receiver who actually had a real NFL career was faster than Bob Hayes.
@sydboskiАй бұрын
@@georgesouthwick7000 How many games must you play in to be an NFL player? So because he was a bad football player means he shouldn't be counted? Do you hear what you are saying? And I quote, "He was 10 worst NFL player of all time". He was the 10 worst what? NFL PLAYER. No one is contrasting Bob's career with Jim's. There is no comparison. Bob was HOF, Jim hall of shame. There is no doubt that Hayes was the vastly superior football player an Jim was a vastly inferior payer. But there is no doubt that both played in the NFL. lastly there is no doubt that Hines ran faster than Hayes. It's very simple. If you go by straight 100m times then Hayes at 10.06 is 5th all time in NFL among ALL players good or bad in NFL history. Behind Hines, Trindon Holliday 10.00, Jeff Demps 10.01, and Jacoby Ford 10.01. Dems da facts.

Xavier Worthy manipulated his 40 yard dashes by moving in running motion before the clock even started shaving a few thousandths of seconds off of his time. a bunch of these times are wrong, there were several people faster than Bullet Bob, he was the fastest for his time, but not all time, and Ross has the fastest time at the combine

Well really there is only one who is proven faster than Hayes. Hayes ran 100m in 10.06 on dirt and cinders. Jacoby Ford and Jeff Demps ran 10.01, Trindon Holliday ran 10.00, and Jim Hines ran 9.95. All of these times were on newer all weather tracks, which are faster than dirt and cinders. However, Hines ran 10.03 on dirt and cinders also.

@@NoFace-ke9pc And how do you measure in "game speed, where it matters" to compare it to other running backs not on the same field or from different era's? It has to be measurable to say someone is the fastest. Otherwise you are using your opinion. Which means you are guessing. Which in turn means less than nothing. At least if you went by track times you would have something to base your hypothesis on.

@sydboski you watch the tape. It's that simple. Alot of people are fast sure but they aren't ballers and don't know how to even use their own speed

Bo Jackson ran a 10.39 100m in college. Chris Johnson did that in high school, not to mention Raheem Mostert's 10.28 in college. List has been invalidated in the first 1:00

Simple as that lol many current nfl players ran faster than that in high school

Bo's best100m was 10.44 not 10.39. CJ best was 10.66. The 10.38 was wind aided and does not count. Mostert did run 10.28, but he isn't the fastest RB. Jamal Charles and Herschel Walker both ran 10.23, Michael Bennet 10.18, Sultan McCullogh 10.17, De'Von Achane 10.14, Curtis Dickey 10.11, Jeff Demps 10.01.

Bo isn't even in the top 50 fastest men in NFL history. And he certainly isn't the fastest RB either. Let me explain. The real test of speed is the 100 meter dash as in the Olympics. FAT, meaning Fully Autamtic Time. This means gun start, lazer finish. So let's get into each man's 100 meter legal no wind assistance times. Herschel Walker 10.23 was way faster than Bo Jackson 10.44. Bo NEVER ran a 4.13 electronic bc in 1985 the NFL didn't even have that kind of technology. Bo is a liar. The fastest RB in NFL history & football history at any level is Jeff Demps 10.01. Now, todays 40 yard dash is inaccurate bc it's semiautomatic timed with the hand movement start. Xavier Worthy manipulated his 40 yard dashes by moving in running motion with his feet and legs by bending his elbow & keeping his hand on the ground before the clock even started shaving a few thousandths of seconds off of his time. Btw Xavier Worthy 10.65 can't even get him in the HS national finals. His personal best time isn't even fast enough. Elite women sprinters run faster than him. The top 5 fastest players in NFL history are: 1. Jim Hines 9.95 2. Trendon Holliday 10.00 twice 3. Jeff Demps 10.01 4. Jacoby Ford 10.01 5. Bob Hayes 10.06 And here's some more perspective & facts: 22. Tyreek Hill 10.19 34. Deion Sanders 10.26 That's right, Herschel Walker was faster than Deion Sanders & so was Jamaal Charles 10.23 who was way faster than Bo Jackson. Now don't get me wrong, Bo was fast for football with his 10.44 & that combination with his size was incredible to watch but he wasn't as fast as people have been led to believe. NFL fans are being fooled by the NFL with these bogus 40 yard dashes that make players seem faster or slower than they really are. The facts are the facts.

Bro stop. 100m dash is *speed maintenance* and not pure speed. *Let Me Explain* ***You have to train to run the 100m as even elite sprinters reach top speed by 50-60m and are slowing down after that point. You can be fast but if you don’t train for the 100m you will NOT have the speed maintenance to have an elite 100m time. Most of the guys don’t have time to train for the 100m as Bo played football and baseball season overlapped with track when he was at Auburn. *When do you think Bo trained to have the speed maintenance for the 100m*
@sydboski2 ай бұрын
@@GreyBeard_Fit Yes he did train for the 100m. In HS he did the Decathlon which includes the 100m, the 400m and the 1500m which Bo hated. In College he ran the 100m in 10.44 his PB. You are not going to run in a meet if you have not trained for it. If I am a coach, I am not letting anyone just come and put on our uniform and embarrass our school.

@@GreyBeard_FitBo Jackson said it himself & I quote, "Track & Field was my first love." Bo trained for track from HS through College.
