BLIZZARD SCAMMED ITS PLAYERS? Asmongold, Mcconnell and Snutz talk about the crowdfunding controversy

Blizzard has recently revealed that they have made over 2.5 mil $ in sales from the toys related to MDI/AWC campaign, of which 25%, or 660K $+ will go the prize pool.
While most of us thought that this prize money will be ADDED to the existing prize pool, Blizzard had different plans. Instead, the 25% collected WILL BE THE ENTIRE PRIZE POOL with a minimum of 500K $ guaranteed.
I normally post only Mcconnell related stuff here, but I felt like this topic should get as many eyes as possible as it's the latest of Blizzards scammy behavior.
I hope you're all OK with this slight detour from the usual Mcconnell highlights.

Hello KZfaq, Normally I am posting lighthearted content focusing on the legendary McCool, however, I felt like this controvesy needs to be known by as many people as possible as this deception cannot go unseen. @Healz If everyone presented your point of view, there would be no video games, there would be no freedom, and nobody could get away with expressing the level of ignorance you are right now. I don't think you want people to agree with you, or you would no longer be able to agree with you. Try to be aware of the greater truth behind a situation instead of taking an unconscious shit of a reply that probably gets through to other ignorant people and encourages ignorance instead of change. The least you can do is literally nothing, so would you kindly?

If you haven't learned this already here's a lesson for you: If a company is involved always assume they'll do the worst and act according to that assumption. That way you will only invest money into a company or event that you are willing to 100% lose to the benefit of the company/event with 0 gains for you.

I hate Blizzard, I wish an independent game company would rise up and push the old guard out. Everything is micro-transactions, loot boxes, paywalls, pay-to-win content, and other predatory monetization practices. These aren't even games anymore they're casinos and virtual shopping experiences.

@@TheZdowd at the stage where your funding a pricepool for an event, you're not really buying anything right? the event is gonna take place either way,so you can't even call them customers.I get that it might appear shady,but what do you expect, alot of ppl wanna get paid over there,some alot, and blizzcon also gotta cost alot, so why not take the money of the ppl who want it?

@@AnimeFan4815 No, they bought a product in the trust that their money was going toward building the prize pool higher, not creating their own and Blizzard pocketing the rest. Obviously people thought that prize pool was set at $500,000 (paid by Blizzard) and 25% of the earnings off the product they were selling will add to that prize total. Read the post by Blizzard and tell me if my first statement is exactly what you interpreted. If not, its misleading
