I think a lot of hate for it is because people compare Bolvar LK to Arthas LK, even though he's lost a lot of what made Arthas so strong so in actual fact this fight was probably a lot fairer than most people realize, especially now we know who's empowering Sylvanas.

Patty Mattson does a phenomenal job doing her voice....I love the inflection when she says "prison" and "free" in the cinematic....also her grunt/yell when she was yanking a chunk of the mountain off and breaking the helm were AMAZING!

Big part of the reason Sylvanas is a great character imo.

I hope they bring back the green judgement set... it was only available during the naxx invasions for the release of wrath... I had the set but got rid of it before transmog.. 😭😭😭

@@MissildineOnline It's been a lot more than 2... and she's been in the cinematic for the past 3 expansions now. They keep dragging her story on and never coming to any kind of conclusion because "she has a plan." I hope they wrap up her story with this expansion before further butchering her character. At this point she's been turned almost completely into an unbeatable and all-powerful magical death elf.

@@Yrenne unbeatable is pretty false. Did you see the scar left on her face from Saurfang? Having a character that's well thought out and motivated to keep us moving and giving us something to fight is definitely a good move instead of introducing a new "big bad" every expansion. An overarching story gives us agency and discovery.

@@MissildineOnline I guess I'm just not happy with how easily she defeated Bolvar. I suggest you look up the Worf Effect if you're not familiar with it. I know they're trying to tie things together with Sylvanas by making it out like she's been moving the game pieces towards this end all along, and while that could be true, recently it's felt like we're just standing at the sidelines and watching her story unfold. It's starting to feel a bit less like World of Warcraft, and a bit more like World of Sylvanas. Whenever she's on screen, all tension gets sucked out instantly because you know the writers won't let anything bad happen to her. Yeah, Saurfang scratched her eye, and maybe in 15.0 she'll lose a finger if we're lucky. Also, I would disagree with Sylvanas being well thought out or motivated. She has a tragic backstory that has never been properly explored in-game, but that's about it. My guess is they will somehow find a way to redeem her character in Shadowlands, despite her clearly being a villain at this point--having committed far more war crimes than Garrosh, sacrificing innocent souls to The Maw just to meet her own ends.
