Mixing up some more blob paint for this huge commissioned blob painting I am working on. 2:1 ratio from mod podge to paint but may take tweaking depending on the paint used. Varnish optional. Hi, I congratulate you again (I follow you on Instagram) for your works. your paintings are really very beautiful. When you prepare the mixture, do you do it by eye or do you measure it with something?

Great video! Have you considered that mod podge is not archival and will yellow over time? Just curious 😊

It definitely yellows when it’s used by itself in a very short time. When paint is added to it I don’t see any evidence of it

How long does the paint store for and will it separate after a while of storing.

I’ve used it months later and it was fine no separation.

Thank you, I usually do let it dry between layers but I’ve done wet on wet as well.

Which mod podge? There are a few with the orange label. Usually different finishes. Gloss, satin, matte???

Can this be done on regular canvas?

If you have small dots, yes but larger blobs they would be too heavy for the canvas, and it would sink in the middle

It’s been years, but I recall it wouldn’t mix smoothly and was gritty.
