Your bracket making reminds me of how I made the bracket for the 13-pin trailer socket (required here in Germany) on my Lincoln Navigator from a 4 mm GRP sheet. I cut the large hole with a hole saw. It's hard to understand why you don't already have many more followers.

You should’ve installed the NOCO plug horizontal to the body. You’re not gonna like the outcome the moment you forgot to unplug before driving off.
