Brian, this is amazing! We're both fully aligned with the ideology of only using core blocks and plugins that don't break the site when not activated, and without the need to buy into a whole framework. I'm really excited about this project! Thanks for sharing.

i totally agree, the block editor may seem like its not robust enough but just understanding it you can accomplish so much without a whole framework its modular enough to add the missing parts without going overkill.

Yep, I'm hopeful that the project can solve a few small problems and not need to add huge plugins/frameworks/libraries.

@@BrianCoords managing styles is a small but massive feature, my biggest struggle having to edit the theme every time i need custom css

Great suggestion- there’s a lot of stuff that’s specific to the hosting setup, plugins, and theme, but I’ll definitely add this to my list.

WP development is super slow and I'm afraid when this "eventually" happens it will be already too late. Mostly because even though currently AI sucks big time at building websites, it's just a matter of (short) time.

Yeah half of me is very worried about that. The other half of me thinks that there's always room for people to build websites that do things that haven't been done before, something AI just isn't great at. Not sure which half will be right.
