Crazy how an official Roblox event about the CLASSIC ERA OF ROBLOX doesn’t even have a single game in the event that feels classic, while a random rpg game that actually resembles the classic era of Roblox while also being an amazing game overall blows the entire event out of the water

I feel like not uploading YBA anymore pretty much culled out most of the 9 year olds that don't know what a good game is. This is probabaly the most likely reason why we're getting more good games recommended.

This was the classic event all along... Props for the developers for actually managing to immerse players into old roblox

Heres a tip for blocking, the game also has a hidden "defense". it basically decides how much damage you dont take. say if you have 2 defense and the opponent does 3 damage, then you will only take 1 damage. blocking gives you +1 defense for the turn you block on. if you block for both turns, you get +2 defense. use this as you will.

6:05 There is also a perk called "Hard Mode" basically gives enemies more dmg and you and lose the ability to dodge/parry moves but you gain 40% exp gain

I am SO glad you covered this game. I had a lot of fun with it and I wanted its playerbase to grow so more people can experience it. Everyone should.

the npcs doing nothing but giving funny flavor text with no real reward is definitely a carry over from the earthbound inspiration side of things. it's understandable if you think it's useless but it's an earthbound staple and adds a lot of charm, in my opinion

6:35 this game is absolutely a cake walk without the hard mode card equipped so much so I completed it without attacking.

Heck yeah block tales getting some love! Honesly im glad you like the game i really hope when the game gets a new story chapter you play it and make a vid on it as well! (also you forgot a little something and its called the pit, in the the starting area after you exit the hotel theres a manhole near the dock entrance and if you drop in theres a tiny hole, after entering the manhole and the tiny hole using the shrink card theres a bunch of rats and a boarded hole in a wall and after entering you can fight through 20 floors of enemie, after 10 floors you get a free ball attack card, at 20 floors you get another ball attack card, also have fun trying to get to floor 20 cuz lord help you against floor 19)

In the settings, you can change your menu 'flavor'. At a glance, this just changes your GUI, but in battle, it actually changes your idle animation! For example, 'Rose' makes you look really cutesy and hyperactive, while 'Chocolate' makes you levitate.

Finally, a great RPG game for Roblox! Remember, I just tried and finished this game so quick. It's mechanics are simple to understand and you could have some fun with this game so fast.

Interesting to see you mention people not liking talking to the NPCs and it being a major part of the game. I'm a bit of a "check everything" person when it comes to games, which includes talking to everyone and seeing their dialogue. The thought that people don't enjoy that kind of stuff didn't really cross my mind.

loved this game, clearly the people did as well as for the first 3 days it released it had a 100-99% like/dislike ratio. Really cool and there's still a decent amount of stuff in this game you didn't cover (secret areas, the rat dungeon etc)

It’s really nice that Eclipse enjoys tales about bowls. He really loved hearing about how round they are and what kind of objects they can hold- OOPS I JUST SPILLED MY BOWL AND IT SPLATTERED ALL OVER THE FLOOR.

If you like games like ultrakill, or just movement shooters in general, I HIGHLY recommend Combat Initiation. Its a short but really fun roguelike that somehow got buried, because there are only like ~350 players.

I like this game, good turn based combat, and even the map has things you can interact with, from bux you can collect to buy cards from a questionable individual in an alley, there’s puzzles around (though mostly found near the end) and there’s a pit where you can challenge enemies for some quick cash or experience only after you got the shrink card, it’s a game I think will someday outshine sol’s rng.

I can’t believe it. I legit recommended this game like yesterday and it seems a lot of people also did what I did but waaaay earlier.

Oh that's interesting, the Defend mechanic works kinda like in Deltarune. You sacrifice a turn by "doing nothing" but in exchange you get a defense boost and some energy to use your non basic attacks moves

Your probably not even gonna see this comment but, You should try The Battle Bricks, It’s like the battle cats in the classic Roblox style but a lot more different mechanics wise.

eclipse, if you didn’t know you can use your sword(or dynamite) to hit the npc that make you fight first before a fight starts giving you the first strike advantage which will give you more damage on your first strike, the dynamite gives you more first strike damage but it wouldn’t usually be necessary. Love your content as always and thanks for making a video on this game!

My favourite part about this gamw is the ability to indulge my friends in it too, im a loooong time paper mario fan and this just lets me drag my friends in and have a ton of fun

I love how this game is just in it's demo and everyone is already loving it.

Also there is a pit where you do 20 waves of different enemy’s and wave 19 has 4 statues and all of them can 1 hit you if you take fatal damage it’s super difficult also it’s the final wave currently in the game

My friends and I played through the entire thing today and got to say, even for a demo this has got to be one of the best games on roblox

Four things I want to say. You can use the sword, ball, and dynamite to hit enemy npc before they reach you. This gives you an attack boost at the start of the round. If you go back to the ice village after saving the guy with dynamite, he gives you a pie. It heals 30 hp I think. Shrinking helps you get into small areas. Go back to the area with the dog park cause there is something there you get thanks to the shrink ability. There is a place you can fish.

one more thing that should be talked about is that the game lets you fight with other players as ONE PARTY you and up to 3 other people can be in the same fight and it's really fun to play with friends :D

Kinda wish he found this out but changing the menu flavor as it’s called in options changes your stance in combat encounters. It’s only cosmetic but it’s cool. And if you attack an enemy when they aggro onto you, you get a first attack damage buff when the encounter starts.

Eclipse is finally finding diamonds in the rough and I'm glad he's happy about it.

the thing i love the most is that it doesn’t force the classic theme on your avatar

this game is almost like paper mario or mario & luigi, and I love that about it. this will be a game I promote to people who want an actually good game to play. promote it to everyone possible,and make its presence known.

You also have sword energy which is a ability you get after you beat the demo 1 and gives you the option to focus to gain it,

7:40 Theres actually ONE more NPC that does something If you free the Accountant from the rocks in the Dynamite area, and then go back to Roadtown, nearby the Mayor’s house you’ll see a green guy (aka Accountant Jim) standing by the cabin If you talk to him, he will give you a Whole Pizza (That item heals 50 HP) and get the “A Rock And A Hard Place” badge Though if you havent noticed, in Bizville theres a Job Center building that I presume will be used for quests (meaning more NPCs will do more things in the future)

Deflected damage is basically when the damage power inflicted on you or the enemy is so low, you do 0 damage, that’s what it means by deflected damage btw.

Cant wait to play this, roblox is so dry rn that I'll literally play anything Eclipse reccomends

In the game description it literally says it is inspired by Super Paper Mario & Earthbound. As such, you can do the "You Struck First!" mechanic from Paper Mario. Its easiest when you use sword.

if u didnt know u can hit enemies before a fight with the superball or sword to gain extra dmg at the start of the fight for ur first atack, this can also happer with dinamyte that gives 3 atack instead of 2 but its difficult to pull off

I played this with my friends and we tried to brute force the ice king guy and we got obliterated. It took us a second try with items and coordinated cards to beat the boss that time. This game is so much fun and I can’t wait for the next update.

i think i have a big theory, the world 2 will be desert, because in Paper mario 64 2 map was desert. block tales = Paper mario 64 + earthquark. if you need to 2th world. then you need take the train. and you come to 2th world. and also to enemies. i think what will be stone noob, maybe mole noob, and the boss will be the owner of pyramid. 3rd world will be a forest, 4th world - the toy world. 5th world - a jungle. 6th map will more like a flower forest. 7th world - the snow ice place and 8th map maybe will be a flying ship. what about earthquark, library, arcade, shops (in paper mario have shops too), cafe and more and more. in 3rd map enemies are most flowers in start. maybe will be flower noob, then we will find a mansion, where are here lives ghosts, and the boss will be like a big, ghost maybe? he more like from desert more like. in 4th map are some minions like, maybe they will be minion noob. and i forgot who are boss in 4th map. 5th map there enemies will be flowers, but it's not will like a chill flower (sorry for bad english), and the boss will be a flower, BIG Flower. 6th map enemies will be a flower and bees. and i again forgot who will be boss in this world. 7th map - i forgot about enemies and who will be boss. 8th map the enemies will be turtles from paper mario. maybe they will be a turtle noob? and the boss will be BOWSER, but i think what it's will be different boss. in block tales. im happy what i writed about this theory. i think my theory was will justify. bye

I really can’t wait for the next update, this game is amazing.

You can do hard mode in this game by getting 3 bux and buy it from the shady guy before the red and blue boss fight. The location of these bux are 1 in the arcade the 2nd one in the job finder building and the 3rd one in the cafe. You need to start a new save file in order to do this and if you buy the hard mode badge you can NOT unequip it ever it’s pretty easy to be honest but it adds extra challenge if your up to it! Note: if you complete the game with the hard mode on you will get the badge “bloxxer

One thing I like about this game that you can tell it’s inspiration it’s the Mother/EarthBound Series

Tutorial Terry… what a great guy! He is soooo nice

terry is a god btw. you can fight him at the start of the game if you say "how about i kill you" during the first very dialogue prompt. he has 100 hp, is WHAT I WOULD SAY if they didn't BUFF that all the way to 999. he also uses the attack penguin missile. it does at least 500 if you guard, 1000 if you don't. you also cannot dodge it. this of course, instantly defeats the player and gives the message "The sheer force of the attack caused [USER] to faint".

I literally hate the people that don't like block tales and say it's boring it's like so fun when you finally fight the pit I despise people who hate block tales.

I recommend you play dummies vs Noobs, I know the title sounds dumb but it is actually a very fun wave based siege game That I had a blast in

From looking at it, its definitely a 2D game... And I sure do love myself a 2D game once in a while, thanks for showing this Eclipse!
