If Bitcoin couldn't keep up to date with quantum cryptography, then it goes to 0 and some other open public blockchain that is quantum resistant would take its place.

There is a difference between informing people vs. marketing to people. Marketing is the fine art of getting people to buy something they don't want, and generally involves _not_ informing them about the product. This video contains lots of superlatives about blockchain, but virtually no information about how blockchains actually work, so it smells very strongly of marketing.

Satoshi probably didn't want to get murdered by the cia. The large hashpower that goes into pow secures the network from bad actors. The limited supply is just game theory to make it more appealing to adopters.

A chain of blocks. Each block has a hash, which is a code, mining bitcoin is the process of creating the next block in the chain writing a new hash through a series of calculations. Each coin is unique and cannot be reproduced, each coin has within it the entirety of the chain "mined" up to the point where it was itself created, essentially its an encrypted piece (aka bit) of information. So if I sell you an ebook locked with a blockchain hash and you duplicate it and resell it, anyone will know you were the one who did it, and you could be prosecuted for it. Forgery is impossible, which also means it is no longer necessary to rely on banking (or other) institutions to verify the trustworthiness of any individual. If you vote for president with a blockchain the upside is that voter fraud is completely impossible, the downside is that your vote will be recorded in the chain for all to see.
