Blocked drain. sewer splurger.
This job was one of those straight forward easy unblocks. Although the custom pointed at the gully? we knew different didnt we drain team.
Bloody silly little screws holding the drain rodding access cover on where removed and the rest is history.

Even the wheelie bin cleaners just dump the contents of the bin down the drain. A bit of waste won't bother the system. One question Tony, do you have a separate washing machine for your work gear?

They've had a problem on that line before Tony..because there's a cut out around that rodding eye...so I'm thinking that the old interceptor has been taken out, a rodding eye put albeit the wrong way round.

I wonder how it cleared using the jetter if the rodding eye pointed upstream. Wouldn't the nozzle just go up towards the house and not the mains where I suppose the blockage was? Anyway great work Tony, as always. But, no cup of tea this time?

I used the penetrator which has a powerful 3 jet fwd and 3 backwards, was lucky I had the blockage within reach mate cheers

That was just a make shift cover down by the roadside weren't it....flowing in the wrong direction 🙃 but prob underneath was the interceptor ?

Look like it had been repaired at some point, the ground around it was settled and the concrete sunk so maybe the interceptor used to be there but has been replaced ?

What's the difference between an interceptor and a rodding eye

Interceptor generally is connected to a trap or changes drain level, rodding eye just lets one rod or jet into pipe, however this one was facing wrong direction. Great question cheers
