Cam Murray is the most disrespected player. He is the best forward for NSW in origin, he is the reason current coaches have opted for smaller mobile forwards. Works so well for QLD with Cotter and Carrigan. Whilst Murray is stuck behind Yeo who does not offer as much origin wise, great club lock but does rely too much on ball playing which is effective at club level but origin defence eat that up easily, and does not create a dent in the QLD defence.

Been saying this for 3 years lol Murray and now DeBelin being back would be much more effective at 13 in Origin. Freddy using Penriths gameplan in Origin Cleary doesn’t work. The extra linkman on every shift kills the outside attack & the nearly double time work. Our back 5 have to do like Penrith again gasses them to within an inch of their life. 200 run meters per back 5 player doing donkey work might keep your forwards fresh in NRL. At Origin level it absolutely wrecks your strike weapons punch and ability to rip & tare. Only time Freddy ever had success was off the back of Trell & Tomy cutting lose

The Penrith system doesn't work at Origin. This isn't a Penrith bash, because I thought Martin and To'o were great in both games. But Yeo was an ineffective passenger acting as an extra ball player that NSW didn't need and Luai is a headless chicken. Miss me with the Luai can play without Clearly BS. I actually thought Moses had a good dig and was trying his best. NSW looked their most dangerous in both games when they ran hard AF off short balls and quick play the balls. Because we have so many potential guys coming through you just don’t know sometimes until they’re put up against other fringies on the cusp to see if they can deliver a step up from Origin. Also it gives blokes that are just unlucky due to certain guys being ahead something to push for if they never play Origin. I’ve always thought why not have Origin as is and for the blokes that don’t get picked have a 4 team series but you’d have. City vs Country & QLD A vs NZ A?? Why not that’s your Origin period Then have an International rep round of Samoa Tonga Fiji PNG play. The thing is NSW are massively behind QLD as I've been saying, QLD have a key playmaking group that have played together as a unit at this level for years and on top of that have played at this level for years. With out a couple of Trell and Turbo type players QLD are at least 10+ on us every game. The rest of the team is pretty even.
