Lyrics Stay still, be still No wonder you are always lost As a messenger you must be known With messages you must return To be seen by demanding hands And touches of jealous men Invisible and forgivable To all their secret adds Be it so be quick Don't run just walk and walk and walk Don't loose yourself to decorate Somewhere on your wall Cause somewhere in your mind You know you are doing fine Holding secret hair locks You'll pluck before you hide So how can I keep anything to myself So how can I keep any of these things to myself So how can I keep anything to myself (3x) Behind those clouds I'm almost home

After whole 20 years since I got this album, this song tears me to pieces 🖤 and so magnificent with Tarkovsky's Nostalgia, my favourite film by him... ThankYoU again for posting this 🖤🎩.

Oh, wow, I was listening to some Blonde Redhead on Spotify (in preparation for their concert in Amsterdam the day after tomorrow), when this song came around. I didn't know that this version existed, so I was really surprised to hear another than Amedeo's voice. As a long-time Japan and Sylvian-'fan' I like it, but the original is better.

"who was there to bathe you, wrap you in saffron and kum kum, feed you, bind you to us with devotion, garlands you with marigolds? where are the gardens in which you slept? ;;;;" (david Sylvian "snakes and ladders" Tropjies II)

I wish they (BRDHD) chose a slower song for David to sing.

I'd have to agree with you....but I've listened to this many times now and it somehow seems right. Repetition....behind those clouds....I'm almost home.......are these the most beautiful lyrics you've ever heard?

You are right. Change the speed to .75 and, whilst by no means perfect, it give you an idea of how close this could have been.

Haha! His 'plight', 'premonition', 'flux' and 'mutability' (to say noting about how his "loud Weather" "buffeted" "Naoshima"!) have hypnotised you into permanent slow motion ;)
