Blondey McCoy’s cultural reach and output have since expanded far beyond the confines of skateboarding.
But for Salma Hage, Blondey’s teta from Mazarat Tiffah in Lebanon, her grandson, is still the same. “We sit and talk and catch up. He always tells me about what he has been doing. We never feel like we have drifted apart even though he’s busy,” she says.
