Magic's performance is out of this world.. and to be honest. All of them did an amazing job

Cruzito's dialogue here really wraps up the narrative of the long movie: he's balancing fate with free will. Paco realizes that his actions set Miklo on a path and Miklo didn't resist that path because he had something to prove, so he went far with it. Meanwhile Cruzito is the one that has gone to hell and back on a drug-laced train viewing the forked paths of his two carnales on both of his sides: he's a character that has become the voice, the observer, the narrator...he's like Melquiades in One Hundred Years of Solitude.

He lost his civilian brother but found a new one, on the other side. A truly dark and poetic movie, full of excellent quotes and comedic relief. Besides, it also has aryan buff Billy Bob Thorton, lol.

This is such an underrated and great movie. When people talk about gangsta movies Blood In, Blood Out is rarely ever mentioned. This is one of my top 10 movies of all time.

Cruzito’s speech at the end was everything. No matter how bad things got, they will always be carnales. That’s the destiny they chose. I bet paco would eventually look out for miklo later on because like he said, they would both be powerful.

3 Brother's 3 different paths this is such a magnificent movie...

As you grow up, sometimes your memory loses thoughts of your past and you forget where you came from. That's what happened to Paco, he had forgotten where he came from,he forgot how he was raised,because he went from all bad to all good and being all good made him forget his wrongs,everyone makes mistakes in life,thats how you learn,paco didnt realize that till he saw the mural and that made him forgive eveyrthing he had done to hurt his cruz and miklo. Paco is the reason why miklo is who he is

7:37 at that moment, everything stayed silent. We knew right there Paco just got hit with the truth. The times miklo was just trying to fit in but Paco never accepted him as Vato Locos because of his skin color. The day he tested miklo with spider was the moment miklo became a real gangster. While he got sent to prison, Paco was able to leave the gang life & became somebody else to get away from the truth. Luckily, cruz made em hit reality once after his family forgave him. What goes around comes around.

people sometimes miss the end when you see Miklo washing the soap, the VL right next to the Spider tattoo. Enemy of my Enemy is my friend.

There a few parts cut out of the movie but the gist of it is here and it truly is one of the most under rated movies made. This without a doubt was and still is a powerful and meaning movie.

Pretty much those two lives changed reversibly for the good or bad…

Miklos transition from little fish to criminal Mastermind is pretty dramatic and kinda funny to watch :o

I forgot what a great movie this is. I remember watching it a few times back in the day. I grew up in a different color from these guys but there's an ocean of dead homies that will haunt me forever. Some times it seems the grief is too much to bear.

This part, and Paco picking on Miklo when the movie first started always reminds me when I was young, like Miklo I'm half white and half Spanish, Miklo did everything he could to fit in, and it always seems like it wasn't enough, that's why he went crazy and smash spiders back windshield to prove himself Paco because Paco always picked on him seeing you and your fluorescent skin, one of my cousins did that to me too, I remember going to all the Spanish parties and you kind of feel left out or different, some of my cousins were in a Spanish gang and I wanted to be in it but they kept me out, and I'm glad because look how Miklo turned out, he so badly wanted to be a Vato Loco, and as soon as he did he wound up in prison.

Damn, even if it was low budget, a sequel could have been very interesting. Miklo as the prison gang leader, Paco as a higher up law enforcement and Cruzito as the bridge. It could go really well or really bad but still one hell of a story.

Magic responds, We both loved him, but we did what we had to do for La Onda. You were right. As Miklo destroys the mold, Magic tells La Onda's new boss, So thats why they set up the hit to kill motana even though they did'nt want to. Montana he was slippin so they took it over.

This was a good film, Paco coming to terms with his actions in the past and how that sent everyone down a certain path was overwhelming to him.

Still the one of the greatest gangsta movies of all time

The mural scene is my favorite part of the whole movie.

The way he said “your my right hand the other half of my heart” That’s how kids are sucked in to gangs and do as they are told. All it takes is some love and attention to change a child’s life and prevent organization from taking them.

Miklo tried to fit in with the gang life while his siblings tried to leave it and be something good. Miklo got screwed in the end.

To me as a kid Blood In Blood Out is a action movie and American Me is a straight Drama 🤔 both blew my mind away and I was fortunate to watch both movies way back when they 1st drop down on VHS

Miklo talked real strong there at the end but I was always surprised that it wasnt written that Montana's right hand stepped in and took over.
