Hades was never pissed off with his realm in greek mythology. He actually liked the peace and quiet....

It's definitely a notable take on the Underworld. Though it's one that is derived from the myths too, as the Underworld was looked down upon, and seen as the least of the 3 Realms.

@MoronkLeviathan what do you expect is Greek Hell
@MorokLeviathan2 ай бұрын
@@brockbell9429 Tartarus is the Greek equivalent of Hell, the Abyss, a place of eternal torment. The rest of the Underworld is the 'standard' afterlife. With Elysium, the Elysian Fields, basically being Heaven.

In the actual myths, Hades didn’t despise being lord of the underworld, he actually loved it. Bcuz while he ruled a dark realm it was an entire kingdom and he was also considered the wealthiest god too which is why wasn’t apart of the pantheon on Olympus cuz he liked remaining independent from the other gods and his brothers.

Makes sense if you think about considering the amount of drama that goes in the surface and olympus.

Hades is Such a sad and tragic character, to be cheated out of a possible chance at ruling the gods as the first born and eldest, then to be considered a king over eternal suffering, longing and despair for the most part of his kingdom all the while his two brother live it up in the light and living world with the excuse that eventually those living will become his citizens. Then to fall in love with someone who loves him back and is willing to live with him in his dark realm only to have his love’s possessive mother and his own brother declare that she could only stay with him for half a year when they both want to be together all the time. And now he has two children living with him hear the same screams and despair that he those and seeing their mother be forced to leave them over and over again and that is also killing him on the inside. So when he was finally about to achieve he goal of being together with his family on the upside his own nephew takes that power away and says that in order for things to be in balance, things would have to go back to the way they were, with him and his children back downside and let the cycle begin again. At the very least he wasn’t partying and fooling around and cheating on his wife and holding grudges on mortals he didn’t like, like Zeus was which kickstarted the whole war the first time around. That man was faithful to a tea and would have probably made a better king of the gods. If that was his primary intention but he was first and foremost a loving husband and caring father stuck in a terrible place and position.

@manliomartinez7821 Yes, I feel for Hades and Persephone but why cause an even more of fight among the gods? Why not simply resign, or ask for more help to rule the dead???
@manliomartinez78212 ай бұрын
@@kenroycherrington148 I think the fight was unintentional considering Hades sent undead shadow ninjas to sneakily steal the crystal while everyone was fighting. But since that failed he tried to send someone with I think it was giant’s blood to get pass the barrier but then the truth was discovered so it snowballed into a fight. I think Ares was the one trying to make war to usurp the throne. As for resigning I don’t think he can or he would have done it a long time since he hates being in the underworld and as for asking for help running the Underworld he wants out, he is fed up, he just wants to be with his family, with Persephone together all year round. He also literally cannot stay away from the underworld or else he’ll start to get pains.

How was Demeter "progressive"? She was a pretty traditional Greek mother upset at her daughter being abducted into marriage (with the consent of Zeus, history's least "family values" authority figure). Persephone was the goddess of Spring and she lost worship as Queen of the Underworld. Hades wasn't strictly speaking evil (and certainly not an analog for the Abramahic Satan), but he wasn't widely worshiped by the Greeks because he ruled an unpleasant afterlife. That applied to her as well. (Note: despite common misconceptions, Hades was *not* the god of death, just the Underworld and wealth.)

I think he's the first born son not the eldest, the order of their births are Hestia, Hades, Demeter, Poseidon, Hera, Zeus
@MorokLeviathan2 ай бұрын
@@jhimso1018 I may be wrong, but weren't all of the 3 sisters older than the brothers? Hades is still the eldest son, but he's younger than Hestia, Demeter and Hera.
