It's an excellent joke! But a bit to niche for the general crowds. Those who know, would see the joke coming as soon as he sets it up, but could also predict it might not be picked up by most of the audience.

That is how we live in harmony. Plus, when religious people get offended like that It makes me think that deep in their hearts they probably have doubt, because if you truly believe that why would you be offended by a random statement? Regardless of what others say your, your God is still the greatest to you.
