I know this probably just a joke but for those who think it not the blood pact don’t worship the emperor and I believe saying they venerate him isn’t correct either, he more of a aspirational figure to them in the sense the emperor was a human being who became a warp entity (something individual blood pact members wants to accomplish as well) but he also an adversary that must be destroyed because he a warp entity that is blinding mankind to the true majesty of chaos.

There has to be some common ground between the two. Maybe not enough for full doctrinal agreement, but at least for some agreement to mostly stay clear of each other.

I think when it comes to that, one version of the Imperium can't exist while the other currently stands so the current Imperium still needs to be destroyed in order to be rebuilt or in the Blood Pact's eyes "reformed"

I think most Chaos factions want to "Convert" the imperium by breaking and reforming if completely.

Chaos doesn’t want to completely destroy otherwise it has nothing to do.

They’re featured extensively in Gaunt’s Ghosts series and they are far more interesting enemies narratively than heretic astartes bc they’re not… a mind numbingly fucking stupid group of man children who use actually military tactics. Also they have spider tanks and snipers with daemon possessed rifles so that’s pretty fucking peak too

I converted my Blooded, paint scheme wise, into Blood Pact. Did it with the Dark Commune box too for Gore Mages

I think a Tzeentch Blood Pact or Nurgle Blood Pact could work, but I can't think of what a Slaaneshi Blood Pact would look like.

Kreig are cool and all, but i don't think they are taking the blood pact out anywhere near decisively. I think they would be looking at a hard fought, costly battle. The blood pact aren't your typical chaos cult rabble. These guys have the training, discipline and skills to make the Death Corps pay for every inch of ground in blood

What makes you think the blood pact ain’t assholes, the only difference between them and other human cultists and world eaters is that they not frothing at the mouth rage addicts who shout ‘blood for the blood gods’ every five seconds. But other then that no the blood pact are just as evil as any chaos faction. And chaos is a malevolent and parasitic force that corrupts and destroys all it touches which is why isn’t much nuance to chaos because there really none to be found.

They do it because they don’t the luxury to be compassionate and merciful when faced with such a insidious force like chaos. Chaos is cruel because it was born from the evil thoughts, emotions and actions of mortal creatures which is why chaos and it’s followers cannot be in any sort of grey area, it why radical inquisitors must be watched carefully because chaos’s nature is fundamentally evil, I mean for god sake the chaos gods are called ‘the ruinous powers’ by their own worshippers because while chaos may offer you power it a poisoned chalice that will rot your soul and turn you into a horrific monstrous parody of your former self.

@@thesmilinggun-knight9646 so you are saying that there are no inquisitors who abuse their power, no administratum members who starve entire worlds just for a power high, and no space marine chapters who so callously throw away civilian life. chaos is not innately evil, you just must chose the right god. while i will concede that slaneesh is the worst. to say the other gods like tezeench, nurgle, or khorne are without their qualities, shows your true lack of understanding of them. they are beings borne of the most powerful emotions of their realm. while nurgle embodies despair, he also embodies acceptance. while tezeench deceit, he also preaches hope. and while khorne screams bloody murder, he also screams honor in equal measure. in 40k there is no true good or evil, its all about what you are willing to tolerate. and to be honest, i would rather tolerate a bloodthirsty god who would never lie to me, than a golden corpse that has done nothing but lie.

While also being a god of blood, skulls, and murder. Khorne is a god of Violence and Strength in all its aspects. Khorne seems to look favorably upon those who demonstrate glory in combat. I would also assume martial competence among a bunch of bloodthirsty lunatics is something to be desired in his ranks.

All of the chaos God's have a positive aspect. Khorne is a vicious slsughterer. But he wants to take you on fair. He isn't going to magic or backstab you. Meanwhile slaanesh is over here being crazy sadistic. Where was actually they have dominion over positive powerful emotions as well.
