I know this whole album by heart. We lived far away from my extended family when I was a kid. My mom would always put this tape in during the long car trips we frequently went on to visit them. I didn't understand what some of the songs were about at 6 or 7 years old but boy I sang about Delta Dawn and No Mans Land to the top of my lungs. Lol. Last night my mom and I listened to a couple songs reminiscing bout the old days! Lol

I was 10 yrs old when this song came out. I remember my mother telling me there were radio stations refusing to play it because they said it was "inappropriate". I thought it was just a really sad song.

This arrangement by competent musicians is really golden and great at backing Tanya's voice on this one.

She sang this song with such convincing authenticity it's as of she lived the story.

Listening to older country music like this takes me back to when life was good.

Still one of the most amazing voices and this is an all-time favorite. The music the words the emotions are breathtaking ... Thank You Tanya for all the great music through the years.
