A short film that depicts the actions of a 4-ship Spitfire Squadron during the Second World War.
'Riksen' (Red-1 & Squadron Leader), 'Mac' (Red-2), 'Zach' (Blue-1 & Camera Man) and 'Al' (Blue-2) engage enemy Fw 190 and Me 109 fighter aircraft over the skies of Holland during Operation Market Garden.
Through the lens of 'Bumper-Blue-1', this film takes you on a combat sortie from Deurne Airfield (Antwerp, Netherlands) into the region of Eindhoven, NL in an attempt to cover the airborne ground troops that landed the previous day.
The video for this film was captured from a flight against other human pilots in a WWII flight simulator called "IL-2 Sturmovik" - in a Multiplayer server called "Combat Box by Red Flight" (www.combatbox.net). Most of the world audio was captured from the 'DCS World' flight simulator.
Soundtrack "Bloodlust" written and recorded by NEATOSIMS (Zach Lamothe) and Jeff Valentini - Jeff volunteered 100s of hours into making this video the best that it could be. We had done several 10+ hour shifts (often fueled by single-malt Scotch) dissecting every moment of the movie to make sure that the audio complimented the picture the best that it possibly could. He always had my specific vision in mind and diligently channeled his musical knowledge, talent and passion into this project to the nth degree.
