The westcoast was big on sampling funk. Dr. Dre & Warren G did it too. One thing about banging on wax was the art was a direct reflection of the lifestyle. Everything was real. I remember when I first heard it. I was blown away at how good the album was. Bloods & Crips Bangin on wax put everyone on alert at what they could do in the studio.

My brother had this first. I was in New York and stores didn't sell this bacc then(only down south malls). He cleared the whole red side out. It took me years to hear it. Still Crippin tho. I don't anticipate that song like the rest(it's a filler song. Those aren't weak songs tho). C Blank Ride n Time Is Gone are good songs to end the B side on both albums. Steady Dippin(album version) is the best song on that whole album. Crips hated that album because they wanted to do a pt2. The filler on pt2 was Can't Stop Won't Stop from the bloods
