This is surprisingly a very good film, with some excellent fighting scenes. It's not really a sequel to Bloodsport, and by no means does it come close to matching it, however, it's highly enjoyable, with an excellent lead performance by Dainel Bernhardt. However, i found the main villain kinda weak, and he is no Bolo Yeung that's for sure, however he looked big, and was pretty menacing at times.

This brings back memories of when I fought in the "Kumite". It was cool because we all stayed in the dorms at a local community college. The organizers rented it out for us fighters. Those of us who were more even keeled stuck together, and the higher-ups would distance the hot heads from everyone else. A lot of us didn't lead a traditional life...most of us weren't married or had kids. I was one of the smaller fighters, and I was fortunate that I could use techniques that would level the playing field (kicks to the balls, eye gouging, etc). Sometimes I would get my ass kicked after I got my ass kicked by pissed off betters lol. Sometimes I won. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but these types of contests would not fly in todays day and age.

The kumite is real. I trained under the legendary Frank Dux and have fought in the kumite for 17 years. I shattered all the records held by Frank. I have a record of 12567 wins and 0 losses! I have beaten Shang Tsung and Goro individually and as a tag team. Their feeble skills no match for me. Do not doubt the kumite existence. IT IS REAL! 😳

Blood Sport 2 has no JCVD but it has Mercenary Tao (Tao Pai Pai) teaching what respect is.
