the Akuma sword effect was a nice throw back to the original Alucard Sword swing effect. Makes me want to start a new game just to get it...

To be fair, other then the "NIGHTMARE" code, none of these are really cheat code. They're built into the game for influencers (KZfaqrs and twitchers), it just happens that those influencers shared the codes with their fanbases. The weapons and items you get aren't even really good passed the first boss.

@@upy0ur5 The Super Best Friends is a KZfaq group kmown for the funniest and hypest gaming videos. They split up back in December because the two founding members stopped being friends. The Baz mask is a product from them.

I feel like an idiot asking this but how do I bring up the keyboard to type a name other than Miriam? I’m on PS4. I hit X and it brings up the typing thing but I can’t delete or enter any letters and the traditional PS4 keyboard doesn’t pop up

Most of them seem like coming from backers pledges? p.s. I've notice in the game also the flying painting enemies, they have various faces, which some of them could be backers, like if you pledge that high you can have your face in the game. Maybe some are recognizable from famous youtubers but not sure..

Very nice. But I think they should've implemented different animations/special attacks for the weapons. Like Jewel Sword on SOTN that drops coins, imagine throwing cheese with the pizza sword. lol

Do these all work with Zangetsu character new game as well? You know what never mind lol I think it looks like a waste of time thanks for the video you saved me time from inputting the codes, guess its for the new players to use not for ones who have finished the game with carry over high end weapons.

the codes are were built into the game for youtubers and twitchers. Yes, it is based off of nintendocaprisun because he's the influencer that had that code put in. There's a corrupted vine sword for vinny of vinesauce as well.

These are codes of names from backers of a certain tier in Kickstarter (of which Arin backed as he was also one of the few youtubers who promoted this game 4 years ago). I believe they would have been notified via email about these easter eggs ahead of time.

@@vigorouslethargy You guys realize those codes were set up by the influencers themselves right? Arin chose what name the code would be, and what the item would be. The same goes for the other items you can get, like vinnies vinesword.

@@Phutlikka Edit name does NOT work for the codes. You must use the code at the start of a save game or it will not work.

these are not cheats.....these are cosmetics made for meme's by the developer. cheats are things that people use to unfairly in order to gain an advantage, weather over ai or other players(obviously over ai if there were in game cheats since this is only single player). cosmetic unlocks are NOT cheats.
