Spring Heeled Jack is a London based cryptid who was an extremely agile 'prankster' guy who would tear open women's clothing with his claws and kiss them before leaping away over a wall laughing.

Mr. Hyde being Tyler Durden from Fight Club is a great double entendre of references is kinda clever.

They gave Van Helsing and Dracula the Dante and Vergil alt skins, that's amazing.

The choices of references alternatives colors are clever.

DUDE BLOODY MARY AND LADY IN WHITE HAVE SUCH EFFORT PUT INTO THEIRS IT'S SO STUNNING! I'm in love with those two's finishers, especially Mary's first and White's second fatalities. Neverman's second one and T.H.I.S' second one also deserve a shoutout. This indie game has me more hyped than a bunch of AAAs rn and that's amazing. Definitely gonna check it out and play it myself.

I also saw you was interested in one of the cabinets in Helsing’s stage. That cabinet was Twisted Fate, an old fighting game project Huracan worked on before the Creation of the First Terrordrome. It had 3 characters, one being a zombie which is the same zombie from Terrordrome 1’s mini game

Damn that Wendigo design is incredible

Actually the original description of wendigo had no animalistic features, it was supposed to look like a gaunt corpse with bones pushing out against its skin, bloody lips and odor of decay. If you're looking for accurate portrayal of wendigo, Until Dawn is the closest i've seen. That said, i still like the design in this one.

Funny if there were other Fatalities in this game, I can see Mary do a Evil Dead mirror reference with mini-hers finishing off the opponent.

If Darkstalkers is the anime, this game feels like the Netflix live-action adaptation. Okay, joking aside, I love seeing more horror-centric fighters arriving from the indie scene between this and Umbral Core. I don’t see Big C taking this as a challenge to bring back their monster fighter, but at least some are stepping up. I really appreciate the Overlook Hotel carpeting in the arcade stage. Nice touch. All work and no games would make Sack a dull boy.

This looks like a lot of silly fun. But I would like to see more characters... Jersey Devil, Mothman, etc... but I'm sure that's not easy. But what they have seems pretty fun.

i was curious and went to see if there was an "all Death Sentences" video to see what the Dracula blood drain finisher did to non-Wendigo opponents. they just fall to their knees, so they did a special thing for Wendigo with it falling apart.

So Spring-Heel Jack was a boogeyman of Victorian London. There were several reports of a strange figure in a cloak with metal claws on his fingers accosting young woman and jumping out at carriage drivers/horses. He reportedly could jump over 10 foot walls and even houses, vanish into the thin air, and cause his victims to go into fits. The most famous cases reported he could breathe blue and white fire and wore a helmets with glowing red eyes like balls of fire. This game appears to draw more fron those cases than his depictions in pulp comics, which were more victorian gentleman or bat-devil looking.

i was completely shocked you guys would try out Terrordrome 2 even when its in early access. you definitely might catch some interested fighting game fans that want a new fresh indie game to play. hurican studios is doing its best to make sure Reign of the legends is dedicated to horror fans, fighting game enthusiasts, and terrordrome fans alike.

Man, this new Darkstalkers game looks WAY different than the previous entries in the series.

Man, the more I look into indie/fan made fighting games, the more I realize how many stone cold classics are out there that nobody talks about! Keep up the hidden gems coming, Matt! We not only need more people to enjoy these games, but we need people let talk about/preserve them for the sake of gaming history! Hats off to you!

Sasquatch’s color 2 reminds me a lot of the Abominable Snowman from the Matterhorn Bobsleds ride at Disneyland

If you want Mothman and other cryptids, there's a fighting game called Beasts of Mystery in development by Mutreax.

It took years for there to be a good “Western-Style”/MK clone game on the market, and this is one of those.

There really wasn't an "original Van Helsing" you could use for a fighting game - the original was an enthusiastic elderly Dutch scholar who was big into phrenology. Hence why there's always descendants in games and movies, because unless you give the original Van Helsing a rocket-powered wheelchair (which I'd be into), all he's really got going for him is the Disapproving Of Your Skull Shape fatality.

Just watched the rise of the boogeymen video and you guys said you would play reign of the legends. I saw this video posted today and I thought, what a coincidence!

This title is pretty hype, I would love to it get even more love and polish that it has been getting already, like if it gets in EVO, it is king. Not to mention to crazy additions to the roster they can add overtime is crazier when you include unlicensed royalty free versions of Horror Icons such as Pennywise and Slenderman here along Cryptids like the Yeti and public domain like Dracula and Mr Hyde, like some additions I could see being added is Not Ash Williams, Ash Williams, Goatman, Mothman, a Zombie of sorts, Creature of the Black Lagoon or some sort of Fishman, not Swamp Thing, Swamp Thing, so a sort of Swamp Monster guy, an Egyptian Mummy and a Undead Pirate or just some Skeleton Pirate will do and I think that would cover every possible fighter that can join this monster mash I can think off the top of my end.

WE need this badly 😮

After they add The Invisible Man, they should definitely hold off on adding anymore characters until after they polish up this game a bit. It definitely has a lot of potential and is already fairly fun to play a couple rounds, but the jank definitely needs to be ironed out a bit. Make those finishing moves more violent and fix up some of the animations. Make combat a little faster and more fluid. If they really polish this game up and remove some of the more egregious jank, this could totally be an EVO contender. Maybe.

wouldnt it be funnier if "lady in white"s name change depen=ding onthe color palette? like the first time they chose lady in pink. also lady in white is a very common philippine ghost "white lady" its a very basic spirit in out myth that car fatality is a homage to her backstory, drivers at night will come across a young lady drenchedfrom the rain trying to hitch a ride then when you talk to her shes completly silent and when your at the destinnation she disappears. the we are legion line is probably bcoz theres so many lady in white stories only differing in county and her cause of death. sometimes she was raped and killed, sometimes she was killed and trown in the river, others say she hung herself etc.

Sorry Matt but got to call you on the wendigo description. The native depiction is usually an emaciated, tall human, often frostbitten or with an icy heart. Until Dawn is probably the closest depiction in mainstream media. The addition of antlers came from a Matt Fox illustration in 1944, Pet Semetary added ram horns, and the full "deer head" came from Larry Fessenden's movie Wendigo in 2001. All very white sources and not at all authentic.

This Frankenstein is definitely the DC comics version one.
