BEAUTIFUL!! Try to add a glob of hot glue to your tacks or nails if you're worried about them scratching and damaging your ornament.

What an awesome idea. I told my hubby to look at this. I bet you could do Christmas Ornaments like this. About that time I saw the top and yep that's what they are alright lol... I always get my bright ideas right after someone else got the same idea. To late in the year for me to start doing them now. They are so awesome. How special they would be as family gifts. That's one thing about being a painter. Leaving a part f you with those you love through your gifted talent. I'm blown away at their beauty. Kudos to you lady. Making additions to your Legacy.

Love this -- thanks for sharing !! one thought -- if you pound the nails all the way thru the board, you can use the tips of the nails and not the heads to supports. Makes only a tiny speck, not a nailhead size dot on the back. :-) They all look great... ❤

Hi Erica! If you snip the heads off the pins, u wont have as big of holes on the back.. Blessings! They are gorgeous, u could do just one pour in the middle on the back too just to cover the holes... 😍

Not sure if would work..hot glue gun heart to ONE large nail...to hold heart.. and you would be able to pick up board and heart won't fall.. also only would leave one small spot on the back of ❤

What's so special about the Australian Floetrol? Regular Floetrol (USA) doesn't work? I noticed the Australian Floetrol says "Acrylic Paint" whereas the USA brand (found at Lowes/Home Depot) says "Latex Paint." Seems this is rather a big deal for the viewers out there wasting money trying to nail this technique.

Hi Craig. I haven't used the USA floetrol (i'm in Ireland) but I know tammy anderson uses it with great results. I've been using just water and titanium white with great results (in my opinion) too. I wanted to try out the Australian floetrol to see what the fuss is all about. Still comparing it to the what I was using before.
