BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 But EVERY Upgrade Gets More Expensive - the rules are simple in this custom challenge: I'm only allowed to buy upgrades in increasing magnitude of price! Base towers are excluded in this (still bought in order) otherwise 90% of the paths can't be used. Anyways the goal is to see how long I can survive with this restriction.
This is my series of Bloons TD 6 strategy, gameplay, challenges, or whatever else it may be. Likes are appreciated, and subscribe & hit that bell to catch up on all future videos!

Some upgrades, nope; mainly abilities. Like Hydra Rocket -> Rocket Storm or Arctic Wind -> Snowstorm I believe are both descending in price.

You could’ve used monkey village discount to upgrade the farm and super, and I think you can squeeze 2 supers with selling

issue with discount is that it's already a $500 upgrade, so discounting the farm brings its upgrade price below $500 so you can't buy it

Idea for a new challenge, you can only upgrade one tower at a time, when you place a new tower, you can no longer upgrade previously placed towers. (Edit) also maybe no selling? Could be pretty easy if you just sell and rebuy to upgrade that tower later after getting other towers

I’d love to see a fully optimised run with this challenge. I wanna see how strong you could possibly get without breaking the rule. You probably have to create like a spread sheet with all the upgrade prices and fully plan the whole run but that would be so cool

Bloons but once you deselect a tower, you cannot select it again? Gotta upgrade it all at once or stay on it or else you can’t upgrade or sell it once you click off

yes isab that is typically how tower defense games are, the upgrades get more expensive as you tier them up!

I think the best way to improve this challenge is do something where everything costs 20% more (or you can adjust to 10% or 5%). So for example, the first tower you drop is regular price. After that if you wanna drop another tower it costs the tower's price plus 5% more. Then if you wanna upgrade one of them it costs the upgrade plus 10% and so on. I know there's no real way to do this without a mod or without calculating how much money you have to keep in reserve to say you "spent" it but i think if someone could make a mod for it this would be a super fun challenge to watch!

I'd love to see a post on the Reddit optimising this to the teeth. I'm sure there's more that can be done with this restrictions, even ignoring shenanigans like using discount to make upgrades slightly cheaper. My first thought was including Elite Sniper, as its moneymaking should let you purchase whatever. Maybe there's even a route you can get a temple up?

you would need to discount the discount or it will have the same cost, and either the discount for the discount or the discounted discount will have the same cost of the tower upgrade aswell.

Have you ever thought about making a comparison between level 100 paragons and their super buffed 5-5-5 counterpart (modded stuff). In my opinion it’ll be a lot of fun and very informative.

Isnt the simple super buffed tier 5's better already than lvl100 paragons? I think ISAB already had video about both lvl100 and super buffed tier5's and tier5's was usually ways better.

I wander if putting some towers under discount village to get around some of the = cost upgrades would still be acceptable under the essence of the challenge. It wont help for the bomb and alchemist first tier issue but for super and banana farm it would work. This would allow harder version of this challenge.

Hiw about this: Same chellange but you use a custom tower that has every upgrade in the game from lowest to highest. You can use multiple of these towers cause in order to get one specific upgrade you have to get every previous one

You could try 2MPC with base towers, as in 2MP combined on base towers. I did it a while ago with geraldo + supers (pickle +sharpening stone is literally x4 damage) on cubism, but Geraldo got nerfed since then. I am pretty bad at the game though so its probably doable still, just harder.

Challenge idea: You have to place a hero, and the money you spend on anything cannot be higher than hero level * 1000(or something like that). So in this example, when your hero is lvl one, you cannot buy anything costs more than 1000 dollar. When Hero reach lvl 2, you cannot buy anything costs more than 2000 dollar. As this example only allows you to have 20k- cost upgrades, its kinda limited, so the formula can be mixed up with the round number too to allow higher cost towers or anything else you see fitting. I think this can really go along with the idea you tried with this challenge, to have a much more linear upgrade path in the map instead of just rushing something pricey, what most casual games is about.

If I could suggest a challenge, what about only using the cheapest upgrades? Specifically, only sticking to the cheapest tier 5 paths for each monkey, maybe down to anything at or below 25k in price. Possibly to 140 for an actual challenge? Impoppable over Chimps for knowledge uses seems good to me.

It has to be below a certain threshold like 25k for a challenge since if you take super monkey, the cheapest T5 is 90000 and is quite strong

video idea: do a boss with towers/upgrades starting with the same letter as the boss, i.e. banana farm for bloonarius or laser blasts for lych you can even do it on a map with the same letter, as it is now possible with mods

I have a challenge idea: try a game using only monkeys that throw darts (dart monke, super, aircraft carrier) but if it gets too hard, you may also add tacks (tack, engi, sentries)

Suggestion for future content. Get somebody too make a mod where every time you spend money *i.e upgrading or placing new tower.* prices go up by 5%. Prices start at 50% original price. And go up 5% each purchase *farm ban*

Idea for a mod, one tower with a single path...that has every upgrade in the game in increasing price order, and the upgrades stack. Is it balanced? No. Would it be practical? Who's to say. Would I love to see someone else do it because I have no idea how to code? Absolutely.

I thought this was going to be that you need to drop a tower and upgrade it at the same time to be more expensive than the other ones So let's say you got a MOAB Press which costs ~4000 Then the next tower you drop must be above that after upgrades and you need to upgrade instantly And maybe you aren't allowed to upgrade again after that?

Not really doable since increased production upgrade of the farm costs the same as the discount upgrades of the village ( both monkey business and monkey commerce also cost the same )

i thought this was a mod where every time you buy something every price is increased by like 5%. so after 20 purchases everything is 100% more expensive \
