At least Duplicate was a fun and entertaining villain. Her design is good, her personality and motives are enjoyable, and her powers are fairly unique within the show itself. A good addition to the PPG rogues gallery.

I really dislike how they new series really didn't utilize Blossom and mostly tortured her. There could have been so many potential episodes for her like since she's the the smartest, have Buttercup vs math instead be Blossom vs. Math and Viral Spiral be how Blossom is the expert coder.... but no. It's just sad how much Blossom didn't have attention.

New episode name: "Blossom, Blossom, and Blossom" It could be seen as a parody of it's own trio and opening where they mention the three girls Even make the graphic in a similar fashion to their iconic poses but it's Blossom's silhouette.

I will give the episode this: The physical appearance of DupliKate? A+. Excellent costume on her, I would very much like to see this design in a better cartoon.

When I saw Duplikate, all I could think of was Lady Redundant Woman from Wordgirl. Kudos if anyone else remembers that show!

the fact that they reuse monster designs so much is even more lazy when you think about the fact that the original show probably had less of a budget to make extravagantly detailed monsters every other episode

Blossom really is the most hated character by the writers. They made her not allergic to the puppies only because they had to make her look worse as a person. Along with other attempts to shit on her character.

The sad thing is Duplikate is a really fun character, with her thrill for crime. She could’ve had so much potential. Also, I noticed what happened to Prof. Utonium here is the exact opposite of what happened to Prof. Membrane of Invader ZIM. Membrane started off as a borderline jerkass but his appearance in Invader ZIM: Enter the Florpus redeems him by making him more or less a caring but somewhat absent minded Professor dad. Utonium went in the exact opposite direction.

As a wise KZfaqr known as Cvit once said: "At this point, I'm starting to believe that the show creators are just trolling us and seeing what else they can get away with."

I just read the description and I think that these new titles are pretty fun!! Adds a little nice twist to what the videos are gonna be about. I like them!!! 💙💖 I HATE the shots with all the veins *shudder*. And the Batman and Robin thing with Bubbles and Buttercup is pretty stupid. But other than that I guess it’s fine!! 💙💖 Also the way they defeat the villain at the end is pretty similar to how Buttercup defeated Mojo’s robots in Not So Awesome Blossom. With you know tricking them into shooting each other. Don’t know if they directly ripped it from that episode but looking at the people who worked on this show I wouldn’t be surprised. 😑

This episode hurts because I can see how it could have been improved. Make it so the clones personalities are slightly warped (as indicated by turning away the puppies and spoiling a book) and Blossom, being the determined leader that she is, is trying to figure them out, which ultimately ends up figuring out how to take down the villain. She gets cloned and thinks its totally awesome having a team of Blossoms. Buttercup says that it's a stupid idea which turns into a small squabble where Blossom becomes determined to become the best team. At first it seems to be going great, but soon she realizes that the clones have a few 'quirks' that could lead to more than a little trouble. So she does tests and observations to try and learn about them to see if she could keep them in line. She finally gives up just in time to get called to stop the villain, and since her sisters decided to let her do her team thing she has to do this herself (including the clones). During the battle it's going okay which gives her brief hope only to have the villain duplicate herself into five, overwhelming them. Blossom starts to rant to herself about how could she be so stupid thinking getting random clones from and untested source could lead to....... which is where she figures out how to beat the villain. Because she knows how the clones think (the villain never cloned a person before so she doesn't know of their 'quirks') she is able to trick them into fighting between themselves. Thus winning the day. Or something like that.

While Blossom was never my favorite Powerpuff growing up, I will admit they REALLY did her dirty here in this show. ONE episode this season?! I really like DupliKate, and I just had an idea for a gag that could be its own conflict premise. I was thinking of a gag where they pack Kate and all her clones into the cell so she demanifests them for more room, but because her clones are gone, she gets all their sentences added to hers. And in the hypothetical return episode, she gets out because she duplicated herself so much, she and all her clones got very short sentences from it being divided amongst them and they get out early, ensue more villain hijinks while the girls probably have issues of their own going on. (This show just loves having the villains be secondary and the girls' interconflict be primary, huh? I'm sure there are episodes, like Mojo-centric ones maybe, that have villain plans be the up-front plot, but it's just a trend that rubs me the wrong way.)

If i ever had to write an episode specifically about Blossom, i would make it about how Blossom herself feels like the underdog of the three girls, she realizes this by noticing how her sisters are better than her in the things Blossom herself specializes in. I want to try making it based on the reboot's version of Blossom. Anyway, throughout this episode idea, Blossom becomes "depressed" because she is upset that she sees herself as basically nothing compared to her own sisters, she tries to hide this with a facade and doesn't tell the Professor or her sisters. During this time, it slowly leads to Blossom deciding whether to leave or stay, it takes her a while due to the reason this is a huge change. She still loves her family, but is stuck between this decision of leaving or staying. What drives Blossom to run away is because her sisters unintentionally showed Blossom that she is the underdog of the three and because of this. This can be showed during school and Buttercup and Buddles both get praised for something. Idk what that would be, im just talking about an idea i have. Blossom then decides to leave in the middle of the night, leaving a note that describes her emotions that she had kept hidden for a while now. This entire premise is taken place over weeks and maybe months. Blossom had gone to an isolated area where she thinks that her family wont find her. Her family wakes up that morning and finds her note that she wrote that night previously. They become devastated because of this and went to find her. On their way to search for their now lost sister, they reflect upon the things Blossom has done for her. Now I want to also "rewrite" how Buttercup and Bubbles got the skills to do awesome math and coding skills. What i had thought was that Blossom actually had taught them these skills, and to go back to the episode where Buttercup went to the smart kids class, the reason why Blossom didn't do all that well on that test to get into this class was because she has been constantly helping Buttercup and Bubbles with these sort of this and worrying about the fact that her sisters might fail, which drives her to get a score that isnt enough to get into that special class. Now for the rest of the episode, they find Blossom and try to convince her to come back and tell her how special and unique she really is. They finally convince her and she comes back home with them. Upset and regretful of her decision of leaving them, she tries to make it up to her family, but her sisters and the Professor (rewriting him to also not be a horrible father) they comfort her and tell her that it's alright. This is just an idea i got, but what do you think, if Shadow sees this, what do you think about this considering your the expert on the PPG series

Yea, i'm still enjoying these season 3 reviews, they're all great. And i don't mind the episode titles at all, they're fine with me. In fact, i like how you put your phrases on the left side of the episode title because it helps establish what the episode is about, i really don't mind that at all. This is the rare occasion where I think this should’ve been a buttercup episode. Buttercup clones blindly wanting to fight would create a much more engaging conflict than just “blossom has two more boring clones that follow her”

I’m kinda sad Blossom is getting much less focus than the other three... Blossom was my favorite in the original. I think I know why this is though. The writers don’t have any ideas for Blossom...

I could say that I dislike the episode but I won't say that because it would be "Too Justified"

For an episode about tripling the smartest member of the team, they sure didn't put a lot of thought into this episode. Forget justifying anyone's actions (even if it would have been as simple as, say, "sorry, I don't think Bubbles is responsible enough to take care of puppies yet", and, "oops, I thought you were rereading the book, since you're me and all!"), just have the girls run around and say "gooly gooly". Non sequiturs! Along with the "too justified" part, which explains a lot, my favorite bit from the commentary Twitter thread is that they didn't even think about what to do with the Blossom clones at the end of the episode until someone told them about it. If it was up to me, I would have just ended the episode with the shovel line and be done with it.

Damn. Blossom was done so dirty in this awful series. I feel sorry for OG Blossom Fans who had to endure the toucher of this.

It says something about the heroes when your villains are more interesting than them. And boy this show really hates Blossom. It's very telling when you can't even think anything else to make her stand out or seem like a competent leader. Especially since they gave away all her other traits to her sisters for no reason.

Haven't seen the video yet but I'm expecting shadow to mention the use of an exponent in the title when the actual math would be multiplication. Edit: called it. You never disappoint.

I feel inclined to agree with a few other commenters, Dupli-Kate is a surprisingly good design for this show. She looks cute and the pun is fun. She's just some one off villain so I guess it doesn't matter but I could see something like her in a good animated show about superheroes like OK KO or Hero Academia maybe. I'll give any bit of praise to this show i can cause Lord knows its desperate for some lol.

This is one of my favorate reboot episodes.

I find it sad that the so-called "smart" one of the Powerpuff Girls gets the biggest shaft when it comes to episodes plots in this reboot. The writers are so focused on giving what should be Blossom-centric episodes (Viral Spiral, Buttercup vs. Math) to her sisters, thus rendering her status as the smart one in the team obsolete. The reboot basically reduced her to a flanderized version of a Lisa Simpson archetype: an uptight know-it-all. Also, it's nice to see that the reboot still has an animation error here and there.

Buttercup: I thought that people are supposed to vote for the president. Blossom: I'll bribe everyone then get power Blossom: Just kidding what I really want is a land of candy. *Blossom imagines a land of candy* Buttercup just imagines a bucket. Blossom and Bubbles: You can have anything you want and you just want a *Buttercup:* Yeah thats all I really need right now. But then the villians keep Busting in trying to steal it. Mostly Mojo Jojo, Princess and Fuzzy Lumpkins keep trying to steal it and some random generic crooks try to steal it too and the Powerpuff girls have to keep throwing them out the house. *Buttercup:* Who would be thick enough to rob the Powerpuff Girls a title appears underneath her with a ding sound effect *Season 5 episode Burgalar Alarmed one of the best episodes* They don't actually get to do anything with the money they all just become over protective of the money and forget how to have fun. They even stay up all night guarding it. Professor: Did you get any sleep last night Bubbles: What's sleep? As they say this they look awful and super tired. their are piles of thirty empty cups of coffee on the floor. At the end Blossom realizes this *Blossom:* Wait a minute we don't need all this money things are great the way they are we should donate it to chrarity. *Bubbles:* We are super heroes after all *Buttercup:* Yeah lets do it Professor: wow thats very generous of you girls Bubbles: Why don't we donate the money to the charity for the one little girl who is bullied by 3 girls. Bubbles reads that off of a piece of paper. Buttercup curmbles it up and throws it out. *Buttercup:* Nice try princess. Princess: Why don't we just steal the money from the charity Mojo Jojo: We're villians not monsters. Then it cuts to a random family who just won the lottery. *Mojo Jojo, Princess,and Fuzzy burst through the door. Father: OH GREAT NOW I HAVE TO DONATE THE MONEY TO CHARITY The dad walks up to the salvation army guy dressed as Santa Claus Father: I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY DARN YOU * He says this as he dumps all the money in the donation boxs. Fake Santa: I think my day is going pretty great So Once Again the Day was saved thanks to the Powerpuff Girls.

I've been waiting for you to make a review of this episode just because of how I wanted to see how you'd react to the inconsitency. At first I liked the episode because I like Blossom and seeing this sounded cool but when I watched it again I realized the clone problem, the whole thing about the experience and such. Then I realized the bad jokes, specially the ingredient part where they could have said " you're missing sugar and spice." The concept of this episode could have been awesome, at least something similar to "knock off" where the ending could be that blossom's clones turn bad as they are too logical and lack some form of empathy and blossom has to come to terms that she must destroy them, make them have a unique way of being destroyed. I just hate the fact I really like the concept and at first liked the episode but both seem to be executed poorly.(Also I know that "knock off" the clones aren't evil, I was just comparing things)

I have five things I want to mention, 1. Judging from the title card of this episode I thought there was gonna be a new villian that can make objects out of paper and they made two Blossoms to go against the girls, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the girls struggle against paper again 2. At 5:50 the clone on the left is missing a chunk of her hair 3. Why did two clones come out instead of one? Duplicate shot Blossom once, shouldn't there be one clone instead of two? 4. This is the 2nd time (straight from my memory), the girls changed their identity as superheroes 5. Around 15:11, that scene made me think of Chowder and Gorgonzola, down to the colors

You know what could've been interesting? The change in perspective. Like, if the two Blossom clones turned out what they were because they didn't have the pressures of leadership to sharpen their focus. Shame it didn't pan out that way.

Watching Huey's episode from Ducktales (2017) and Blossom's episode from Powerpuff Girls (2016) is like night and day. Why can't the writing for PPG be as good as Ducktale's writing?

5:22 I...wha? "Too justified"? Like, the reason made too much sense to add to the episode? What goes into the writing process behind the scenes anyway? I kind of get the moral of the episode to be, "No one is exactly like you, but they may offer different perspectives to help solve a trickier problem you have." But this execution was terrible. I'm just trying to brainstorm ways the climax could better match the lesson. Like, maybe have it so that all three Blossoms come up with the same plans only to have them all fail without Buttercup and Bubble's perspectives? Or maybe have it so that the three Blossom's use their green lantern powers to try and take down Duplikate, only to realize that the three office supplies would work much better with Bubbles' and Buttercup's GL powers or something? I'm only mentioning that last one because I honestly forget when those GL powers were even used. Was the Bliss special the last time they came up? They would probably make the action a little more interesting.

It appears this episode was trying to give out the “sometimes you can’t tolerate yourself” vibe, but the execution got iffy. The first part that involved the clones spoiling a book Blossom was gonna read was not bad, but the focus testing part was rather iffy. Maybe if they made her go “while I like a good focus test, that doesn’t seem appropriate at this time”. And altering a scene because the character’s actions were too justified? I know Blossom was kinda the bad guy in that situation, but that was quite the forced way to highlight that. On the bright side Duplikate doesn’t appear to be too bad of a villain. Even if she was a one-off at the end. This show appears to like to poke fun of Blossom’s flaws a lot in her focus episodes, to the point that it kinda feels and looks redundant. Nicely done video still 👍.

Fun fact to ruin everyone's day. According to something I read Duplikate's voice (or was it speech) is patterned after a friend of Jake Goldman. That's right another instance of the self insert character, inserting more of himself into the reboot. As if there wasn't already reason enough to hate his Ink Suit Actor character. Also I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that Duplikate has become sort of an Ensemble Darkhorse. So when you know she's another Jarrod related thing, that becomes terrifying in its own right.

At first I thought this couldn't got any worse after found out Powerpuff girls will have live action,but then I realised how 2020 is still going so...

It would be more interesting if the clones acted like they were they real blossom, and not in a try to replace her, like they actually were real people who felt hurt when their sisters didn’t accept them.
