That motor and powertrain are bulletproof. You didn't damage anything except your pocket for all that waisted gas lol My brother in law has an 01 is300 with over 300k on the factory motor and transmission that he beats the tar out of on a daily in Dallas traffic. The damn thing won't give out and still runs smooth as shit!

the burnout camera changes were highly unnecessary which made the clips sound terrible. next time have a max of 3 clips of it, 1 from a 45 degree angle, a drone angle and a close up on the rear left wheel. trust me on this one 🙄

Mike doubt it. You just hold it down in 2nd gear. It won't shift up from there.

That is untrue. You can "manually put the stick all the way down and to the right and it will stay in 1st gear. I have an auto and a manual is300

What's the point of damaging it? Swap it, turbo it, or sell it. 2JZ's are getting harder and harder to find by the day, it's not like they are still being produced.

@@miralemnermina142 They don't have worse internals, I've seen people get 500-600 hp stock bottom end on even the normal non-turbo 2jz's with boost by just swapping the head to the turbo head and upping boost. However, the is300 heads actually flow more if you look at flow charts, meaning you get more boost and more ponies in the engine, meaning its literally better than the ones in the Supras. The one thing you need to do is change to the turbo cams if you want to get decent horsepower out of it, the stock naturally aspirated cams won't cut it for making the buff ponies. Also with higher compression, you do get more power, and with boost that means you don't need to get as big a turbo, meaning less turbo lag.

I can alreasy answer that. If its an auto the trans will overheat and basically weld itself solid before the engine is blown. Then you get a new trans. And keep going.

I don't get the GTE swap craze, especially considering most people ditch the stock twins and buy a single setup...? Wouldn't you be better off to put good rods/pistons into the GE VVTi?

See this all the time... go through the entire swap just to make 5-600 hp 😄 if thats all you want, just throw gte rods and pistons in the bottom and go, its the same block lol some people are just dumb and don't realize it

@@jamieknowles9971 My IS300 has stock GE engine with GTE rods/pistons. MP72 turbo and ancient Haltech E6k ecu. 470whp @ 17psi without breaking a sweat.

@@GroovesAndLands yea same, I did gte internals, 25psi on a p 6262, the trans is auto but with some srt trans parts/shift kit, on haltech platinum. Cold ac and power steering comfortable.

@@jamieknowles9971 Sounds killer! Except for the automatic part... Autos are fast, I get it - but I just enjoy driving stickshifts so much. I had an R154, but swapped in a T56. Expensive, but really excellent. Don't regret it at all.

Yeah bro, it's crazy that the IS300 has the 2JZGE VVT-i, which is the weakest 2JZ variant ever produced lol. Still took a hell of a beating and drove itself home, these things can get boosted till 350 whp stock everything from what I've heard, no doubt this 1 minute burnout is only a child's play stress-wise lol!

just curious, how many miles were on the motor? that think really took a beating! i wouldnt want the motor to blow tho. you might damage other things in the engine bay, or blow a hole through the hood. but whatever, if he can afford to engine swap for a gte, im sure he can afford a new hood and paint too.

after watching the car not wanna start at first after the many burnouts, it makes me wonder about my car. i have a 97 prelude base, and it overheated on the way home, after turning it off, i tried to start it, and it was completely dead, no electrical system whatsoever (lights, radio, etc. , wouldn't even attempt to turn over. nothing. any ideas? i would really appreciate any advice/input, thanks in advance! 👍

The only problem is it's not a Supra motor a super motor will not fit in your IS300 that Motors out of a different type of car and it is a 2JZ but it's not out of a Supra
