This right here is where greatness is earned...on the middle of some random track at like 2pm, sun beating down on you, and you’re running endless reps of one phrase of the book, feeling hot and uncomfortable as hell and no one's watching and applauding. And that obviously goes for all drumlines, not just the Devs.

Man… it’s nice to hear even these amazingly talented young folks struggle a little with a component of a phrase. I say that out of total respect for how incredible they are and just remembering what it felt like to stand in a snare line this time of year grinding on something that you just couldn’t quite get your head around as a collective. (Their book is LIGHT YEARS beyond anything I ever played mind you which is all the more reason it’s so cool to see this detailed work.) Fantastic snare tech too: patient, methodical and systematic. The level of educational offering across the DCI percussion landscape is so phenomenal. Wish all these great folks an incredible final push to end an astoundingly robust year of top notch percussion offerings throughout the top 12 and beyond.)

They look so much youngers than in past years. The drum tuning is fantastic - nice Ludwigs!

I hope they keep using Ludwig. I was never a fan of the System Blue drums.

@@Paiste2002Fansystem blue is ludwig now. But I think the A corps is sticking to the ultimate series rather than the former SB/ludwig performance series drums. I think the B&C corps will continue to use the old SB drums though. And I couldn’t agree more. I’ve heard them tuned better. I don’t know why BD was tuning them like ass 😂

This is great. I love cleaning videos. Makes me remember DCI times. A little fat on the roll at the end, but they'll clean it up by finals.

Sometimes you have to break a few things to truly fix a phrase… and if you’ve ever marched a world class tour, you know that some days, 184 feels slow and fast others 🤷🏼‍♂️ Our bodies/minds are not machines, and there are a ton of variables. They’re putting in the work.

The title literally says these are snare subs as well. These guys aren't on the main line. Even so, you can see just how hard they're working just like everyone else. Learn to read before you start hating bro

@@Moosepants12I appreciate the sentiment but snare subs is just short for "sub-sectionals" which just means small group sectionals. All these guys are on the main line

@@Moosepants12 “Subs” refers to, “sub-sectionals” which means instead of being a full battery rehearsal, it’s just individual sections. This is the line.
