This is my review of the Blue Ember XLR Condenser microphone. I had my preconceived notion of what this microphone would really be like - but my expectations changed almost entirely upon actually testing it. So yeah, I was wrong about the Blue Ember. Enjoy!

I'm about to pull the trigger on this mic and this video really helped. I'm a twitch streamer, and youtube Content Creator and I wanted an upgrade from my hyperx USB mic

I have a really deep voice, watching the Frequency graphic i found that this mic is better for my voice (then my next mic will be the RE20), the mic comes the next monday, wish me luck

I’m actually getting the mic for a similar reason. I’m a brass musician, and love this mic for being able to catch the deeper tones of the harmonic series.

At first, I thought it was in the same vein of the AKG C1000 or Rode M3, but side address? Interesting. And, when does frequency response doesn't matter???

You compared how the Blue Ember has more plosives as well as picking up more background noise.. this is due to the fact that the Blue Ember is a small diaphragm microphone while the AT2020 is a large diaphragm condenser. The fact that Blue produced the Ember for this price is amazing. You can buy 2 mics for under $200 and have an awesome stereo pair!

I loved that mic, bought it twice. First came damage and Blue warranty was terrible, but got it again, after weeks of use I start to notice how muddy is and over-saturated on the mid-range. Then I tried the sE V7 and fell in love.

U can go with the Cubase 11 daw...n waves 12 plugins...with this mic ...the vcl quality is unpredictable..

Love this microphone. I ordered this from amazon and received it without the mount in the box. Has this happened to anyone else? I had to end up buying a mount for my blue ember

Im thinking of getting this mic for my first condenser mic.. I have a few shotgun mics and want something more this style for work. question what do you use when you are facing the camera with no mics in frame?

For a large diaphragm condenser mic, you cant really do that unless you have a insanely well acoustically treated room and a strong preamp that can turn the gain way up without tons of noise

@@A1Bokeh Still a good choice! I have both the Bee and the Ember now and I definitely think there is a use case for both of them. The worker bee has more lower end warmth to it, whereas this mic has a boosted treble (presence boost). I think this mic would be a good side grade mic if you use mics in different situations often.

Rode PSA1 is usually the way to go, but if you want to save 50 bucks and get something almost as good, go with the InnoGear one

Compared to the AT2020, my own assessment was the Ember is actually noticeably better in plosives and quieter, exactly opposite to your conclusions. Very odd.

They're called The Zemismart Smart Tiles (or something along the lines). But I also have another one that's better called Nano leaf Rhythm. I'd suggest looking into those instead.

So I love the way this mic sounds, I love the design, I love everything about. However, with watching your video, I am a bit confused. I dont have an audio interface of any kind, is there a way for this mic to simply be plug in and use? I would ideally like it to plug right into my PC

This is an XLR (analog) connection microphone, so it won't just work by plugging it straight into a computer. You need an audio interface that converts the signal to analog to digital and allows this microphone to be used on a computer.
