Hi gang
This week's choice was a request by a follower of the channel
"Brummie Strummer" ...it's another one I wasn't familiar with but soon grew to love. The good thing about this song is that it has some lovely, easy runs at the end of some lines that really add character to the song....plus it can be played and sang slowly which always helps..:)
It's so nice that you lovely folk let us know what you would like us to post and also we love reading all your comments even if just to say Hi....and we'd like to thank you all for following us along in sharing the love of our four stringed friend.
Unfortunately Roz was on carer duties again this week and I really missed the addition of her Baritone playing and her singing....but I'm sure she'll be back shortly...:)

No probs...thought I was a bit shaky on it and a shame Roz couldn't have been involved....still...thanks for directing me towards a great song. It'll also be great for our Eagle Ukes class as the ' runs ' provide something new and nicely introduces the fret board to folk. I took the liberty of repeating the first verse instead of an instrumental to keep things flowing on my own but this can easily be included...hope that was OK?...All the very best to you and yours and thanks again..:)

Great number Graham love the little runs at the end of some of the lines they really add interest, was surprised when I saw you in glasses you look a bit like a snooker player! Harry

This is lovely, Graham. Not one I would sing however. Please get Ros to choose the next one. More Women’s songs, or non gendered ones please. (Of course I do enjoy playing along in the privacy of my own home😀) 🌷

Hi Graham I love the Strum Thumb it’s very rare on KZfaq I’ve ordered a low g for my tenor I just need to concentrate on the using my thumb I’m thinking its not easy as you make it look Dave

@@EagleUkes Hi Graham, just one other question can I ask what Low G string your using because the one I purchased is buzzing, is your wound or nylon? I purchased Aquila which is wound in some sort of metal and I’m sure that’s the buzzing sound , but I see that there’s a Fluorocarbon available here in the states

@@davidwhite8045 ..hi David...the low G string I used in this video is an Aquila red which is unwound. The benefits are that it sounds great ( to me) and feels more like a normal string though a little powdery...the downside is that they can suddenly snap ( usually because the nut slot is not wide enough for them )....I was ok for years using this string but a couple of inopportune breakages changed me into a wound Fremont squeakless low G string which hasnt ever caused me issues apart from the sound is not quite as mellow...but when you do a lot of gigs then reliability takes precedent..hope this is helpful for you...👍😊🎶🎵💕

The actual strum it looks like your only using your thumb and if that’s correct I’m struggling with thumb upwards

Hi David...yes...I only use my thumb to strum but you can use an index finger or thumb for down strokes and index finger for up strokes....👍🥰🎶🎵
